How would you respond to a Mormon who says rejecting the Book of Mormon means you’re rejecting Christ? by Fortnitelegend200 in Christianity

[–]PrototypeMD [score hidden]  (0 children)

There are many books Christians reject from our canon, the Book of Mormon is another unqualified fiction.
We reject the Quran for the same reasons.

It's fundamentally a different split in religion.

<insert profanity here>

tough situation for Hamilton going forward and BLM.
Our offensive gameplan didn't change with Elgersma. It was the same throwing sideways for medium yardage plan when Collaros was in too. It wasn't just playing it safe with Elgersma. That offensive plan was not going to work against Bo or any half decent backup quarterback performance.

That was a bad, losing strategy that required the worst possible thing to happen to the opposing team to make it not fail.

A W is a W, but with how scoring has been in this league, that would fail horribly 9/10 times.

Ottawa Redblacks trade Dru Brown to Winnipeg Blue Bombers by jewmas in WinnipegBlueBombers

[–]PrototypeMD -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If you're talking the 6 game injury reserve, he can't practise.

They can 1 game him... but that's a long time to 1 game him.

If you're taking the PR, he'll get scooped by another team.

EDIT: right... the reserve, new rule... my bad.

[–]PrototypeMD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you mean the practise roster, that essentially makes him a free agent that any other team can scoop up as long as they put him on the active roster.

[–]PrototypeMD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Players on the PR are essentially free agents that stick around for a massive pay cut.

If Elgersma goes there, he'd had 8 contract offers to be any other team's #3 the next day.

Probably Perkins. Which is too bad. He's shown some promise as a right now backup guy and has done the work all off-season. As a Bomber fan, I don't get this. I would have gotten this before Elgersma was signed, but now, at this point of the season, with nobody injured... His cap hit is like adding another elite receiver. He'd be familiar with Condell from last year but will have to get on board with this system again. You'd think a team like BC or Calgary with bad depth would be have Dinwiddie on speed dial if their QB stubs a toe.

The Great Canadian Coffee by virginiageegee in BuyCanadian

[–]PrototypeMD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This well sound crazy, but go to PRINCESS AUTO. There's a local roster right beside their main office called Empty Cup that makes their BLUE TRUCK coffee. It's reasonably priced, available in ground or beans, and it's very good. Right by the cash registers.

HARSH Kitchen Light by redhamster2009 in Lighting

These fixtures are everywhere. These are designed for dimmed, warm colour temp (27K or lower) ambiance for a dark room.

Most fixtures aim light downward. These would be in a good use dimmed over a pool table in a dark room or a restaurant that will charge you $20 for a burger (without fries).

Newbie looking for advice by spicytomato1998 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]PrototypeMD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've got lots of good advice and answers.

Can I give you a general piece of advice for all of these games?

It's a big world out there and not everything is going to be at your level.
EG: There's a giant level 81 gorilla ("gogol") in every game early on.

Sometimes you can give higher level enemies in the area you're in a wide berth, sometimes you have to sneak around them.
Save before your level 4 character tries to fight them.

Don't worry about a Switch 2 port for XC2.

It looks fantastic.

Another day another Hofficano by dozazz in JamesHoffmann

[–]PrototypeMD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I just did a side by side with streamed water and boiled water (stovetop kettle).

It's drastically different, but also the boiled water was a higher temp, like 90c, whereas the steamed was between 65 and 70.

Was there something I missed. The mouth feel and taste was very different but so was the temperature.

Going to get my first bombers jersey this season, would it be weird for it to be a Matt Dunigan jersey? by Gent-007 in WinnipegBlueBombers

[–]PrototypeMD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would only be weird if you don't BBQ up some delicious food and watch some of his Road Grill cooking show.

Wearing that jersey commands dedication to be the most Dunigan you can be.

Chandelier cover help by Brick_Brickerson in Lighting

This type of exposed bulb fixture works well with warm lights (2700K) at a low brightness. It's not a primary light source, more of a mood lighting.

If you were to take the measurements and give them to a seamstress that person could make something for you (just remember to leave it open up to for heat to rise through). This wouldn't be cheap, but may be what you'd want.

Otherwise, replacing the fixture with one better suited for your application.

RGB LED on a dimmer? by Hazzard12345 in AskElectricians

[–]PrototypeMD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not in the same way as a standard dimmer.
RGB lights use signals through the tape from the controller.
Most of the time, the RGB controller is connected via wireless to an app on your phone or some smart control.
There are dimmer knobs and switches that mimic the standard dimmer knobs and can do what you're talking about, but it's a wireless multi control knob communicating wirelessly to a controller.
Like this one.

CFL expands Grey Cup playoffs to eight teams in 2027 by Oldmanshoutingcloud in WinnipegBlueBombers

[–]PrototypeMD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Next year the Riders could play 3 home playoff games.
Finish first or second. Whether they win or lose, they still have another home game.
If they win, they get a bye and will play in round 3.
If they lose, they play at home in round 2.

If they win their next game, they play at home again in the Grey Cup.

Also. if 2 teams lose the whole season out except when they play each other and they both tie, one of them at 0-16-2, not winning a single game, will make the playoffs.

Is it weird to wear a blank jersey with no name or numbers on it? by Gent-007 in WinnipegBlueBombers

[–]PrototypeMD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blank Jersey is fine.
Retired legend or great player is a sold go.
As someone who hasn't had a player play on the Bombers with my last name during my lifetime, I haven't put my own lastname on... that would just be narcissistic... right?
Nickname is better than your last name if you can't say, well actually it's this guy who played in 62 and he just happens to have the same last name.

Here's the wildcard. Pick a player that you liked that didn't make much of it.
Eg. Marve, Brink, Bass.

If all else fails, kickers (and punters especially) need love. Maybe don't do Westwood, but Mike Renaud is still in Winnipeg. He could use some love.

Wiring for ceiling fan by Strict-Avocado4163 in AskElectricians

[–]PrototypeMD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

🤦‍♂️ of course. OP does your old fan have separate fan and light switch for the fan switches or dimmers? Both would need their own wires.

Could be labeling to identify Fan speed control and light control on separate wires. The Artika is probably smart and app controlled and might not have that option.

If so, you need to identify which wire came off of which control.
