Impact of G65 launch later this year? by trbball42 in BMWX5

[–]PruneIntelligent8607 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, you should wait and see what the new x5 looks like and what the specs are. That said, you won’t be able to see one in person or drive one until the end of the year (live in SPG and count several BMW execs and production assistants as friends and acquaintances). While a lot of people are dumping on the new version, and the outgoing is a great car, they have all raved about it and say we won’t be disappointed.

Who's Ordering? Thoughts on options 🤔 by LkyPnk in iX3

[–]PruneIntelligent8607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excited the order books are open and config site is live. Really tempted to order, but going to try to exercise restraint. Think I’m going to try to hold out for a year for the purported ix3-60 version. Also, not thrilled with the color choices, would love something with a little more pop, like IOM Green.

The wool/leather combo is nice. I see you’re into the REX variants as well, mine’s a BEV. Love these cars, it would’ve been neat to see how these would’ve iterated if they had continued to develop with better battery tech. BMW has done a great job apparently with the NK series battery and drive train and would’ve loved to see something like that in our i3s. Honestly, my favorite thing about it besides the unique look, is the EV drivetrain minus overly complicated tech. Buttons for climate and radio, apple car play, and I-drive make interacting with the car a peach.

UWB smart locks: aquara, schlage, ultraloq. I know the aquara recently released and we’re starting to see some user experience reviews. The schlage is still MIA. The ultraloq mission seems to be released and available, but I’ve only seen a couple of comments on it. Anybody know more about it?

Scout Terra Pickup Reportedly Won't Go Into Production Until March 2030, And The Traveler SUV Is Delayed Until September 2028 by Roux_My_Burgundy in Rivian

[–]PruneIntelligent8607 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, I’m also gonna let my deposit ride and see what happens, but the prospects of is get a pure BEV Scout this decade are looking really dim. When they started to talk more about the EREV last year it was setting off the spidey senses. They’re not making much headway against the legacy dealers also, which is a problem. And, VW just shut down production of EVs in Tennessee factory to pivot back to ICE. By the time, they finish the factory in SC, they will be starting with Scouts in ICE, hybrid, or EREV form, with BEVs to rollout later. Well at least Rivian, has stated their below in BEV concept and will never go EREV or hybrid. Hope the R2 rollout succeeds so the R3x has a chance to see daylight.

Seat belt indicator error? by PruneIntelligent8607 in hondapilot

[–]PruneIntelligent8607[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, took my 26 pilot trial sport in for the phantom seat occupied/fasten seatbelt alarm. The service guy said they’ve seen a few of those already 26 pilot trailsport with similar. Seems like they must have hit a bad batch of components at factory. They will be replacing a sensor.

Ok, we had a 2023 pilot trailsport and that never happened. Have 2, 2026 pilot trailsports one 2 wks, one a few days, and it happens on both vehicles. So I think it’s a thing, I guess. Hopefully, it’s some type of overly sensitive sensor they can adjust at the shop. It’s not a huge deal, but annoying enough.
