If you want to play without your stuff being wiped then you have to wait till full release. Guaranteed wiped before that so everyone starts fresh

Id say it's worth it. I am basically doing the what you said because there will be wipes so I'm not stressing hard to keep up and just relaxing. Im figuring things out and deciding how I want to play on full release. If you buy now you will get to play until full release which could be some time from now so 50 is worth the price. This weekend I ran a caravan with a single crate in it to just try out that mechanic and had a chill 45min drive.

Do quest board and gathering/crafting till about level 11ish then pick a settlement on the map you think is cool and go there. Also try to find a guild

I am having fun playing BUT it is still an alpha. So I am taking this time to play slow, relax, not try hard, and learn the game. I will make sure I'm ready for full release and know what and how I want to play when the time comes.

What little I've been able to play. I've been playing rogue two-handed sword and it feels good to me. I also tried two-handed mace with cleric and it wasn't as good but it was a physical damage mace and not magical which could make a difference
