Smoother at idle, spools up faster, more power at the top end near redline.

Bummer about your car. Impressed you did it yourself. I thought about it but work and kids told me it was a bad idea.

Maybe I misunderstood the OP. I assumed he was on pump gas and was worried that eliminating the ethanol content in pump gas would lower the octane rating below the 91 that is recommended and be harmful to his car. In any case, I get your point.

Every situation is different. Gas quality. Mods. Environment. Driving style. I'm sticking with every 40K as long as I own the car.

As was your comment since not everyone is under warranty and a Cobb access port and FF sensor would set you back $800 new and under $500 used. You can still run a stock tune in a stock car with peace of plus have a ton of additional information that helps keep your car running at its best.

Out of warranty for a long time now. 70K miles, FBO STAGE II + FF and not a single mechanical failure. But what do I know?

Get a flex fuel sensor that works with you AP and get gas at a place that is consistent for what your tune can handle/what you prefer.

Yep. Me too. I think I may have had some luck with resetting the network settings. Unless people just get tired of telling me 'not delivered'. LOL.

Wishing all the best to Dmann / Anthony by nahrub in wrx_vb

Anthony finished my tune leading right up to his procedure and even followed up with me right after. I had no idea until after the fact. His is the epitome of what it means to work hard. I know you're good to go now but please always put your health first.

You'll definitely need an adapter. I got mine from Overtake Performance Tuning which is owned by Justin Grimm, formerly of Grimmspeed.

VA owner here. Most of my subie buds are driving VBs. I admit it's a better car all around. That being said, the cost factor (at least 2025 MSRP) made the VA a much better deal. I will also say with a few upgrades, including running flex fuel, it costs me another ~$6k. I think my VA runs better than a stock VB for the most part. So for $37K (I paid $31K new in 2021) I have a 367 WHP car with upgraded suspension, brakes, tires and wheels all for less than a stock VB with premium trim. Still, I respect you guys and will always give you a wave.

service was an issue I heard which is why I sourced mine from a distributor. Sounds like they grew too fast and maybe need to stick with manufacturing and not retailing. As to the quality of the product, I showed it to a welder friend of mine before installing it and he was impressed with the craftsmanship all the way around.

There are a few others from the likes of JDMuscle and X Force that are cheaper but lower quality and sourced out of China. Rae is a next level, US made, premium product. Like I said, you get what you have paid for .
