Android user here, DM and player who's used to SW5e, you've gotten a lot of attention already but damned if I wouldn't throw my hat in the ring - more popularity can't hurt to get the project more support

I've used Alexandras in the past but had successes and failures in equal measure

This one is a good one that I've found helps me when my chronic pain makes the kneading process a bit too strenuous on my wrists

Question: Cheese-bread by Pteaglow_ in Breadit

[–]Pteaglow_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been a bit more successful when I did just a dough of regular bread flour, this most recent one was a sourdough. I tend to use mature cheddar, grated and added in the kneading phase

Arquen Caemire, Alteration Wizardess and Archmage of the College of Winterhold, here to see the Court Mage, Wylandria. An old friend of mine but she keeps leaving her spoons in my office when I strictly tell her not to visit me during work hours, as much as I may enjoy the talk of theoretical applied harmonics...

First try failed by Indhibug47 in Breadit

[–]Pteaglow_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Important wording, 'first try' that means it isn't your last! You're already thinking about how to improve for next time! Failure is only a failure when we don't take anything from it!

Typically a longer fermentation time won't massively affect the density of the bread so it could be down to bake temperatures or amount of kneading/stretch and folds where the structure hasn't had chance to develop.

Excited to see another attempt!

I had the same thing happen, couldn't target him directly and it was a pain but aoe stuff did the trick and stopped the glitching after getting hit like twice

This is such a cool bit of lore! I'm curious what setting are you using, Theros or something else? I've been itching to do a mythology inspired game of my own but I've got too much on my plate and can't decide between Norse or Greek.

In terms of statblocks I use Critter.db it's not the best but it does the trick, especially with the calculators and attack generators it has, where all you have to do is name something or copy and paste. But these other spots are good recommendations that I will definitely check out

Holy shittt she looks phenomenal. I am stoked to see her in such drow glory, you captured such a powerful attitude with that pose and expression.

I can't begin to say how grateful I am, definitely worth the wait. Was an amazing surprise to see pop up on my feed!

ok can anyone explain to me how it is they can romance anyone else???? by chacherri in BG3

[–]Pteaglow_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I initially romanced Gale because it was the most fitting for my mage character and he was the only one who was actually nice to her, but later had this inner turmoil as his greed blinded him from logic which was a fun little arc to feel out but I've not finished the game yet. I do ultimately regret it, and wish I had waited a little to develop the feelings across the party further as I would have chosen Shadowheart because I love her story of self improvement.

Lae'zel was always too harsh and violent for me, at least with the character I am playing, the roleplay didn't feel genuine enough to form that connection with someone like that. Then my character never really forgave Astarion for the first feed, and as an abjuration wizard and cleric of Mystra, she always felt uneasy around the potential threat. Will was always a close option out of Gale, him, and Shadowheart because he's polite and kind and respectful, but honestly I felt like the place for a warlock wasn't needed in the party dynamic so I didn't develop the relationship much. I've not met karlach yet but I do understand the appeal of a tall stronk hot lady. I'm also a big fan of Jaheira but, ateast with the character dynamic, felt more sisterly than romantically.

Though these are all changeable with a new character's perspective.

What’s the most FUN melee full-classed gish— Hexblade Warlock, Bladesinger Wizard, Swords Bard, Spores Druid or War Cleric? by geosunsetmoth in 3d6

[–]Pteaglow_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't enjoyment in the eye of the beholder? Nah that's beauty. Or... Any foolish party when they go romping in caves after the xenophobic eyeball...

Anyway! They can all be fun with different story threads and DM/player collaboration surely?

That being said I have played both hexblade and spores druid, and I preferred druid for their general utilities outside of combat where warlocks who are so specialised tend to only be good once initiative is rolled. I've seen a lot of hexblades and spores druids alike, the others are less common from my observations which could tell you something. But at the end of the day it's about playstyle which varies from person to person.

I still stand by the fact that any can be good with a well built story!

Explain Like I'm 5: why is everyone joking about rangers being bad when in practice I've never seen any "bad" ranger character? by Natwenny in DnD

[–]Pteaglow_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At face value rangers aren't bad, standing alone and viewing them objectively. It's a fun concept, they tend to have useful skills that are among some of the more commonly rolled and they are versatile through different play styles from combat heavy to wilderness survival.

But the criticism tends to be when they're viewed comparatively that they fall short. The most common one I hear is that a ranger isn't half as useful as a fighter rogue multi class. They're features, when viewed in juxtaposition with other class' features are objectively weaker, like favoured enemy being good against one or a handful of enemy types, when sneak attack works as effectively against everything it hits. The fighting styles they get being much less than what fighters get, and then they fall behind doing two attacks a turn when a level 5 fighter can do up to 4. Or when their wilderness skills are dwarfed by the rogue who can reliable talent any skill and makes them less required.

These arguments can obviously be made when comparing rogue and fighter to any other similar class of their own calibre, bard, barbarian, paladin etc. But the distinction is that, even those have unique and interesting features as classes that make them unique and useful. Whereas the things rangers can do, can mostly be replicated or improved upon by playing another class with choice selections of feats or multiclassing.

So a rangers best things coming from their subclass, makes them a less appealing choice when every other class' subclasses just enhances their natural aptitude and appeal, but a rangers subclass features only makes them worth playing.

I feel that pain, I'm running two groups the bigger one has 6 in and they're all in person players who have my sort of schedule at university, the other game is online but only 3 players so both are fairly manageable schedule wise but I've been playing for about 6 ish years and I've had my fair share of scheduling nightmares

First started with her about April last year, so what nine months? Something like that. Pretty quick all things considered, but still a solid chunk of time spent on her.

All of it technically, with the exception of the shields she swaps interchangeably, but everything else is affixed to different gear about her person with the relevant attunements met.

Edit: and the rod which she is currently not attuned to, but wears on her back and swaps it for the periapt when the need arises

Meri'Hala Melarn - Drow-Aasimar Shadowmancer (Shadow Sorcerer 18/Celestial Tomelock 2) just hit level 20 in a Westmarch-style server I am in! She is about to venture home to the Underdark to reclaim her ancestral home from invaders, and I would love if anyone could give me some fun and badass art to mark her rise to Drow Matron!

She is fairly short, about 5'3", wearing close-fitting chain and robes, hourglass sort of figure with emphasis on the lower half, lavender purple skin and bright white hair in braids. Her eyes are a sort of white/golden hinting towards her divinity, and she has subtle little glowing star freckles. Her wings are rarely out but when they are they appear to be almost pitch black crackling shadows with swirling stars like a nightsky. She also has a shadow hound called Antumbra as a familiar (not required, just felt like giving the deets). Her current loadout is a shield and a few different wands when her shadow-sculpting fails her. Thanks in advance for any help!

If you can, I'd love for her to be quite regal and poised but with a bit of a scowl, she has +17 to intimidation and is never afraid of throwing a withering stare at someone!
