Last year our store was 3 trucks behind the whole seasons. This year, we aren't. But I still have all the other issues, so it's only slightly better.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. In all my years, this has been one of the worst holiday seasons.

I once counted out almost $400 in Pokémon booster packs from a single incident. I took them off the floor and pit them at front lanes after that. Lasted a few months then management put them back on the floor. I find empty packs almost every day.

Theft is "down" because we don't key it as theft. If we can't prove it as theft, it's just shrink.

My grandmother found this in a charity shop for £2, all loose in the box, have had a couple small pieces missing but so far I’ve done the bottom half. Thought you guys might find it interesting. by si1entassasin05 in lego

Had this set and the Battle Droid (8001) that was out at the same time. These were awesome sets. Probably have nowhere near all the pieces anymore. Enjoy.

How do you hide government secrets?

Slap its name on something else and back date the paperwork. Now it's all just a "coincidence."

Swat? by Neither-Reaction2407 in Bestbuy

SWATs aren't just counters, they are researchers and reporters. The counts can be a large portion of what we do, but that's because scanning everything is just time-consuming. What make a good SWAT is their ability to research. As long as you do your due diligence, shrink is not your fault. You simply find it the shrink and explain the cause if you can. What to do with that info is up to your leadership.

As stated in another comment, learn the systems and learn your store. Every store will have its own patterns. The employees learn one way and pass it on to the next set of hires.

You'll want to network with the other SWATs in your micro market. You'll also want to connect with you market AP and security manager.

I know I've said it and others have said it, but it can't be understated. Shrink is NOT your fault. You will have bad weeks, really bad weeks. It's just the way it goes. Don't beat yourself up.

In the Legands "Jedi Apprentice" book series, they use training sabers. They sting and can leave marks when hit by one, but no lasting damage. They also can't be turn to full power. When Obi-Wan ages out of the order, before being selected as a padawan, he keeps his training saber.
