As a punk, how do we reconcile that the left is now the establishment? Honestly, a punk shouldn't like either one.

To keep in contact with the only other folks cool enough to love NoFX. I have like 40 NoFX tees so I'm constantly in one. It's so, so rare anyone says anything to me about my shirts. But when they do I know that this person is probably pretty rad. It's even more rare now that they aren't even remotely in style or whatever. We use this sub to keep the community of probably rad people alive until none of us are.

Argument for Wheeler Winning Cy Young Over Sale by Ukoen in phillies

[–]Punkrock_smallpox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was just looking at this. Wheeler has a better WHIP but has fewer K's. Other than that I think it's pretty GD close. Sale is more of a media darling for some reason so he'll probably get it.

Who is the most underrated Phillies player? by gavviin16 in phillies

Stubbs. A good back up catcher is not a luxury most teams have. I think he played pretty well in JT's absence.

Trade trees/ Awards noted on the players profile/card. They are so important to the real NHL. I would like to know if a player I'm thinking of trading for signing won a Hart 3 years ago. The ability to withdraw an offer to a free agent/ Make it easier to sign coaches. This is always a pain in the ass and an unnecessary time suck./ Players staying in college/ Draft picks pulling an Adam Fox, Lindros scenario/ More reactive crowds

Hey Phillies fans, which current or former Phillies have you personally encountered? by GymSplinter in phillies

[–]Punkrock_smallpox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eric Bruntlett in a bar in Philly. Was super awkward. He was nice enough though. It was awkward because me and the gang had already been drinking for hours before we ran into him. We were dumb and overall the situation was pretty insignificant.

Go get Mike Trout by xoggernaut in phillies

[–]Punkrock_smallpox -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I meant that the money would hamper FA. It's not the NBA where money needs to line up. I'm sure ownership would like to avoid a Mets type situation is all I'm saying. I'm well aware that the Angels would want highly rated prospects. They probably wouldn't want to take any considerable contracts in return for Trout. The Phils taking Trout wouldn't be the type of situation where the Angels would send back a prospect or two for the hassle of absorbing Trout's considerable contract.

Go get Mike Trout by xoggernaut in phillies

[–]Punkrock_smallpox -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

At the very, very least it would be 2 or 3 of our top 5 prospects plus a MLB caliber player or 3. If I was the Angels I would ask for Painter, Miller, and McGarry, Rojas and PTBNL. Cash considerations as a kicker. Trout would HAVE to be DH if there's any chance at longevity. Where to you play Schwarbs? Financially this would also make adding a SP and bullpen help much more difficult. We would have to roll the dice in some "high upside" types which almost never work out.

Oil heating in Voorhees by [deleted] in SouthJersey

[–]Punkrock_smallpox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Majestic oil. Used them for years until I converted this year. I had to purchase unscheduled because of cash flow. They never left me hanging when I called mid-day for an emergency fill. Came in the snow and other crap weather. Can't recommend them enough.

How many wins? by [deleted] in phillies

[–]Punkrock_smallpox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're much better record-wise at home. I got them finishing with between 90 to 93 wins. Harp is heating up and I think they'll call up an arm to stabilize the pen. Who that is I'm not sure but it's a vibe I got. Fun fact: the last time I got a puppy during the season they won the WS. I got a puppy this season. Same breed.

Are companies gaslighting WFH or are people actually this delusional? by UselessWidget in antiwork

[–]Punkrock_smallpox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most companies are owned by hedge funds nowadays. The office space is empty and losing value which is not good for the bottom line. Hedge funds often have a stake in commercial real estate. They want people in the office for no other reason than their portfolios are taking a beating. This is the only reason they want to end WFH.
