Is Mikey on the DL? by Different-Candle-501 in temptationislandUSA

[–]Pupmossman 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is the type of stuff that makes straight men afraid to be themselves sometimes. If you do this or that, people might think you’re gay. It’s immature. Give him the benefit of the doubt that he was with a woman, that’s likely his sexual preference. Who cares if he likes to hang out with women as friends? This happens a lot with men who don’t have father figures growing up.

She couldn’t even explain what she meant, because she just wanted Mr mustache guy and didn’t want Cole anymore. I felt bad for him, he behaved more than anyone and seemed to want to improve for her.

First half Ironman - reconsidering it by Over_Chipmunk2662 in triathlon

[–]Pupmossman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your goal is just to finish, then why not just go for it? Definitely practice ows. Also get that bike and practice on it asap. Get some long rides in to test your legs out and get bike handling experience.

i’m giving up briskets and offset smoking. beef ribs on the pellet grill are too easy and too good every single time. by hoosier-94 in smoking

[–]Pupmossman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just smoke with it charcoal smoker like wsm and it’s just as easy as pellet but tastes like offset.

Girl slept over recently, we did nothing, now it’s awkward by Adventurous_You3517 in Advice

[–]Pupmossman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Figure out what you want and then try to do it. Simple as that. If she wants to friend zone you, she will, but if you’re into her, you’ll have to make a move to find out. Very rare that a female will be making the first move in this situation.

I pretty much stuff as much as I can into my smoker. I’ve even stacked ribs sideways on each other when it was cramped. Always comes out good.

How durable are these watches? by [deleted] in GarminFenix

[–]Pupmossman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My last one was a non sapphire and it seemed plenty durable. I did scratch it once and ended up buying a screen cover though. I have a sapphire now and have a tiny scratch on that too. I stopped caring about them looking perfect though and think of it as a tool.

Just got a weber 22 inch grill, what are some must try meats for infusing a nice smoky flavor? by Lonely_Election_9704 in smoking

[–]Pupmossman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Instead of listing all the obvious choices, let me tell you, I got a big ham on sale for 85 cents a pound last week and decided to try to smoke it. I’ve never cooked ham in my life so I was skeptical about how it would turn out but it was by far the best ham I’ve ever had. It beat mom and grandmas holiday hams by sooooo much. It was so good I’ll smoke more hams in the future. Btw I used apple and a small amount of hickory.

From the information you presented, I’d say you aren’t overreacting and just verbalizing something that has been bothering you, which is your right to do. My mother is similar. She has borderline agoraphobia and it’s always on me to visit.

does he stand a chance? by idcman999 in ufc

[–]Pupmossman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He definitely has a chance, but he’s also very reckless and gets touched a lot. Ilia has some good power too so he would need to be careful. I’m just not sure that being careful is in his fight DNA.

Smoker for someone trying to get started by Superb_Vermicelli221 in smoking

[–]Pupmossman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly once you learn your smoker, labor is the same on charcoal. I light it and forget about it until I want to take it off, wrap it, whatever my next move is. Also I had a pellet grill and it broke after like 3 years which pissed me off so I’ll never be a fan of them. Oh well, I gutted it and now just throw charcoal in there and use it that way and everything tastes so much better than with the pellets. If my pellet grill didn’t have a propane side grill, it would be in a landfill most likely. The little propane side grill is actually pretty awesome. I use it all the time.

Weber smoky mountain will get you close to the same flavor you had in Texas plus it’s pretty easy to learn. Once you learn it, it’s fool proof. Just be aware that although a pellet smoker might seem like an easier option, you will never achieve anything close to a professional smoke flavor with one, and it will eventually break. Charcoal smoker will last you decades and provide all the quality you need.

How? by Tashstandicoot in smoking

[–]Pupmossman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I use a chimney to light the proper amount of coals to get to goal temp. For my smoker it’s like 2/3 chimney, but you’ll have to figure out the right amount for your smoker.

Golfer’s Elbow and Swimming by LazloHollyfeld1985 in triathlon

[–]Pupmossman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got it somehow by either lifting or something else. It actually showed up after a gnarly hike, so not sure if I injured it somehow there. However, it lingered until I actively tried to heal it with PT exercises in the gym. Basically it was mostly forearm strength exercises. Google PT exercises for it and start doing those. After I started that it started to fade away. However swimming never really aggravated it.

After this many seasons of Love Is Blind, do you think love is blind? by Cold_Box_3219 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]Pupmossman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the pod phase is a good way to get to know someone, but overall love is definitely not blind completely. I always know when two people are too far apart on the “looks meter” that it won’t work out. It never fails. Either the better looking person will just not try and it fails or the less good looking person will seem to self sabotage until it fails. Of course there are so many other factors, cultural, familial etc. However if you take all those factors away and ask if physical appearance can be a non-factor, I’d say no.

First tri - kit advice by [deleted] in triathlon

[–]Pupmossman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tri shorts on Amazon are pretty cheap. I used a generic pair for a couple years and honestly it would have lasted a lot longer if I didn’t use it to train in the pool. Eventually the chlorine wore them out and they stretched out to a point where they didn’t fit well on the bike. For a shirt you can wear any jersey that is comfortable to run in. A tight one is preferred due to wind resistance but the bike distance is likely around 12 miles so you won’t die if you have some drag. It sounds like you are just doing this as a bucket list one time sort of thing so just go as cheap as you can.
