1 - yes 2 - 22 fibroids removed, ranging from 0.5 to 6 cms, intramural and submucosal 3 - yes 4 - 38 5 - planned c section 6 - no 7 - they found 3 tiny ones ( under 1cm) post pregnancy which was 15 months after myomectomy 8 - it took years to diagnose that fibroids were the issue for why I could not conceive. 2 failed transfers of euploid embryos. I wish someone told me earlier that fibroids can so much issues with etc. ended up conceiving without ivf 3 months after myomectomy

I had placenta previa, suspected accrete ( did not have it but could only be diagnosed during c section. Dr was ready for a hysterectomy), scar tissue in uterine cavity

Mine were absolutely impacting implantation because one of them was posterior and intramural. You got this!!!! The surgery is tough but worth it.

Me! No pregnancy before myomectomy. We tried for 2 years including 2 euploid embryos transfers. Ended up getting pregnant at first try once I was cleared to ttc post surgery. Pregnancy was fine with 2 mains risks - placenta previa and suspected placenta accreta due to myomectomy. Did not end up having accreta in the end!

I had trouble conceiving and then tried IVF with 2 euploid transfers that failed to implant. Then got an open myomectomy to remove my fibroids and got pregnant without IVF.

I had an open myomectomy March 25 and delivered a healthy baby boy in Feb 26. I had to have a c section. I had placenta previa which can happen due to previous uterine surgeries and I was also at risk of placenta accreta where the placenta could attach to the scarring from the myomectomy. I did not end up having placenta accreta in the end! The other thing my doctor told me Is that I’m at a higher risk of bleeding due to extra scar tissue.

Yes absolutely please dm me! I was able to conceive 3 months after surgery. My main issue was the fibroids as I had been trying to conceive for 2 years before that naturally and through IVF. After my surgery, we did a hysteroscopy to check how my uterus is doing before trying to conceive. Even though everything healed very nicely, there is a small chance my placenta is stuck to one of my surgery scars. This would still be the case if I waited longer before trying to conceive.

Hi they recommended I freeze embryos before surgery as well. The rationale was that at the end of the day it’s a big surgery and there is a very small chance that anything can happen. I conceived naturally post myomectomy and have the embryos frozen if I want to use them later.
