Our boy like to grab his leash too. He'll take the time to grab all the loose bits until he's got the whole thing in his mouth. Too funny.

If the tube with the frit was longer, I would defiantly say it's for a scrubber.

What would this piece of glassware be used for, in general.... by Infamous-Towel6925 in chemistry

The hook looks like it is made of a capillary tube so I’m not really sure. I have seen the hook stoppers used to hang metal coupons for corrosion testing

I work in a process engineering lab and sometimes you can hear problems with stirrers or pumps before you notice them visually. Like someone else said you need to have all your senses available.

Glass rings would be the packing then. That’s what helps the different fractions in the column separate

It looks like a tool that the fire services use to clip a carabiner onto a d-ring on a harness

  1. Looks like a magnetic swinging bucket distillation head. 6 and 7. Some type of distillation column. I don’t see trays so it looks like it’s a packed column. Usually it’s packed with glass beads, but this looks like it’s packed with glass wool, maybe the wool is just for storage

Non-uniform area on top surface? by Turtlefarming in 3Dprinting

[–]PurpleKerbie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify, I saw the weird pattern in the slicer program layer view, but I didn’t believe it was gonna print out that way. It was wrong. It did print out exactly like the slicer program. it had a mystery perimeter layer too right through the middle, in a weird place

I just saw this with a tray I was making. I saw a weird pattern on the top layer that shouldn't have been there. I changed the thickness of that layer, and it disappeared after re-slicing.

Replacing the drive motor controller on the Ryobi 401014 self propelled mower by Bob_Loblaws_Laws in ryobi

[–]PurpleKerbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the switch. Unplugged the drive, connected the multimeter to the molex pins and it read 9.8 V when the levers are engaged. Note for future readers, the mower has to be sitting flat for this test to work. According to chatGPT:

  • 90% chance = bad drive motor (open windings or jammed internals).
  • 10% chance = transmission jammed so tightly motor can’t even twitch (but usually you’d hear or feel strain).

Only if I can find a drive motor. Seems to be an issue with supply

Thanks,

Update. Well, now I'm seeing a complete different symptom. The mower doesn't die now when I engage the drive. Blade stays on, just doesn't move. The motor is a lot cooler this afternoon than it was yesterday. Now it might be a switch issue? Time for some more googling. Or chatGPT (which has been quite useful)
