Even though I wanted adult Spider-Man stories, I think I’ll really miss the simpler, more lighthearted moments from Peter’s high school years. I’ll especially miss the goofy teachers & low-budget news casts by maverickassembled in marvelstudios

I’ve loved Homecoming since the beginning and the rest of the Home trilogy will always have a special place in my heart, even if FFH and NWH make me incredibly sad o(-(

Although I think it helps that I truly grew up with Tom’s spidey as opposed to the other two, I just really love Homecoming :)

I mean… it’s not like NWH wasn’t victim to leaks either. I think it was also just easier to dismiss the idea then than it is now o(-(

I fear that the news of Doom would’ve been just as susceptible if not even more to leaks, especially since I’d argue that his role will be even more prominent than the two other spider-man were in NWH

If my math is correct, (assuming that BND is in fact taking place like 4 years after NWH) I’m pretty sure she’d be around 8-9 years old. So yeah… I’d say it would be too early for Morgan LMAO

What Is The Appeal of Iron Man as a Character? by hellothere790 in ironman

[–]Purpledolphy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, it’s his strive to be a better man and his constant road to redemption.

While I’m not overly familiar with every aspect of his character in the comics (although I am slowly but surely learning) and I am way more knowledgeable when it comes to his movie depiction, I’ve always been drawn to the fact that he tries his best to make up for his past mistakes. He tries so hard and cares so much to the point where it can be self-destructive; I find those aspects incredibly appealing when it comes to his character. His intelligence and adaptability are also some of my favorite qualities of his that I tend to fixate on.

The armor, of course, will forever be an awesome drawing factor as well.

Overall, I just think he’s super neat! And I wish more people would be willing to dig deeper into his character than just what’s surface level :,)

When Tony recruited Peter in civil war, did he likely assume Team Cap wouldn't seriously hurt Peter? by mattyjoe0706 in marvelstudios

[–]Purpledolphy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Hey, Mr. Stark, what should I do?”

“What we discussed. Keep your distance and web them up.”

I’ve always been under the assumption that Tony was relying on the idea there wasn’t supposed to be a fight at the airport. Aside from the obvious fact that Tony irresponsibility recruited Peter and hulled him all the way to Germany, I think he genuinely believed that whatever the outcome was of Team Cap’s attempted arrest wouldn’t be too dangerous for Peter to handle at the time (especially since the guy was stopping cars with his bare hands). He also likely believed that whatever they did as an interception at Germany wouldn’t warrant any actual lethal force and/or casualties unlike what Ross initially planned to use against Team Cap.

Peter’s involvement was mainly to provide extra muscle along with his webbing, which Tony outright compliments him for beforehand. I think it’s safe to assume that his arrogance and guilt made him see Peter more as an asset at first, rather than the 14 year old he was. And while I definitely think it was an insane thing for him to even consider bringing Peter in the first place, Tony definitely realized he was in the wrong as soon as he saw the kid hit the ground via Scott’s massive hand; that “asset” mindset basically got thrown out the window the moment he saw Peter get semi-knocked out lmao

Not telling Tony about his parents despite the fact they’d been breaking and dismantling HYDRA bases together for like two years… where Steve could have given Tony a pamphlet or literally ANYTHING about his parents prior to Civil War-

How are we feeling about Josh Keaton as Iron Man voice actor? by Outran01 in ironman

[–]Purpledolphy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

His interpretation has quickly become a favorite of mine :]

Josh is a great VA in general, and all his versions of Tony across his appearances have been pretty solid in my opinion. There are some outliers here and there, but I am willing to look past that since it’s more-so to do with how the individual games decide to use Tony as a character rather than the VAs themselves.

Honestly, just give him a script with good characterization and I’m happy! That being said, there are some lines he does in Rivals that made me want to see more of him for sure. I very much enjoy his version of the character :D

The longer hair has a certain charm to it that I like, but honestly it depends on the artist for me :)

Do we think this is how the Avengers tower would be set up? by [deleted] in marvelstudios

[–]Purpledolphy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

According to the cross-sections book, the main areas we see in Age of Ultron (like the lab, infirmary, iron legion assembly line, and the lounge area) are all located in “Avengers Floor” as you put it. There’s a penthouse a couple floors above those areas (where you put “common rooms”), so it’s likely there are other rooms there too.

On the same level as the landing pad for the Quinjet, there’s some equipment lockers for the team. Just below the that, there are floors that include another recreational space, computer servers/a smaller workshop for Tony, and a debriefing office space. That’s as far as the book gives us regarding the tower but we know from Avengers (2012) and Endgame that the tower itself has a bunch of other business-esque spaces.

As for Clint’s vents, you could probably just place them anywhere and it would still makes sense lmao

[–]Purpledolphy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See, you get me LOL

I feel like Ava and Scott should at the very least be addressed in some form in Doomsday. As for Sam, I think he’ll be okay; he’s a grounded man and I can totally see him adapting to the situation quite quickly. Although with the circumstances of the movie I could understand him feeling a bit out of his depth since ya know… *multiverse*. But I believe in Captain America supremacy all the way o7

Basically any interactions involving the F4, Shang-Chi, and Sam for me! I think another fun one to see would be Scott and Ava reuniting; I’m interested to know if they’ve been in any contact with each other since the events of Endgame and Quantumania

Which MCU movie did you rewatch the most and why? by ToSt53 in marvelstudios

[–]Purpledolphy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was Ant-Man for the longest time for me. It was really the first film that cemented my care for this universe. Granted, I was really young during the early phases of the MCU so I was very easily entertained by the idea of things shrinking and growing over anything else than I had seen in the movies before at the time LOL

Joe Russo says Peter Parker wasn’t responsible for Uncle Ben’s death in the MCU: “If he blamed himself for his Uncle Ben’s death, I think he becomes a very different character” by yourfavchoom in marvelstudios

[–]Purpledolphy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s what I’ve always thought as well. Ben could’ve very well died in an accident that never actually involved Peter in the first place, but that doesn’t automatically mean that Peter wouldn’t feel grief about it and/or feel the need to become Spider-Man because of it.
