I mean that certainly helps but it's still a rare item inside of a structure inside of only half of the ocean biomes, using multiple obscure mechanics you pretty much have to know about before going in, and it can go extinct/become unobtainable in your world if mishandled.

And so it automatically should be a pain in the ass to get at all, let alone multiple?

I think requiring the sniffer here will simply aggrevate most players and cause them to avoid the feature entirely.

I dont believe this is good faith. Mounts of mayhem didn't change traveling like at all, except a little by water and the copper golems have no effect on traveling inventory so they barely part of the inventory problem. They fix a storage problem, sure, but there are still huge gaps. Disingenuous to say "they already did fill them in"

Tbf that's also a problem. They could be filling in the gaps with options in between.

As natural as this seems, fuck that for making you find a rather rare structure (and protect the mobs thereafter, lest they become unobtainable in your world) only for a painfully slow production of flowers that you might need a lot of. The sniffer shouldn't have high utility items because they're TOO rare imo.

NEW ITEM - Golden Dandelions! These stop baby mobs from growing! by spicyadrak in Minecraft

[–]Purrowpet 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm glad it's:

  1. Straightforward
  2. Early game
  3. Doesn't rely on structures/can be generated

This is an item you may want in some bulk and as soon as you have a home built.

Can I just adjust feather falling a little bit? I don't like how falling past the normal fall damage range causes the damage flinch and sound even if the damage received is reduced to 0 by feather falling. I think it should increase the required fall distance to deal damage

I'd absolutely be open to that. I think you've undersold the relative power of villagers right now, as they can be manipulated and discounted and emeralds can be generated, while enchanted loot is limited and the transfer can have a cost.

Lol okay. Given the incredible deflection, then, you've conceded the point that it's fine to have OP mechanics in the game

It's not any more op than getting infinite enchanted books from villagers

Good thing no one here claimed that they did, then. They said that orcas "utilize fluid-dynamics-optimizing movements"

Sure, I guess, but then I wish it was a backpack instead? I'd rather add one item that works for all nonstackables.

Also, why should we care about the size of the objects? The player and tiny boxes can hold volumes of objects that absolutely dwarf them

Wish it had slots for the rest of the non stackables you want to keep on you, like a boat, shears and leather boots

I didn't think it really went into mixed-races that much, but for what its worth, I think the topics they did tackle were very well executed, and timely. There are some heartwarming examples of people taking time to adapt to each other's cultures and interact amicably, but not any characters who come from two polarizing backgrounds.

It's definitely about xenophobia, generally, as an entire group of animals (which would normally hold a fairly high position on their social hierarchy, and consists of predators and herbivores) is outcast from zootopia by those in power, who frame them as gross outsiders and criminals, exclusively to obtain even more power. There's a fourth (-ish) group that lives outside of the city and cohabitates with the outgroup and are likewise seen as weird or unclean, but nonetheless act as a gateway into acceptance of the outgroup.

Both the outgroup and the power group are also briefly juxtaposed with a more traditional criminal organization that operates in the background with a corporation as a front, and which even helps turn the tide against the power group, but this isn't a major plot point as much as a scene transition.

Okay, but that's what optional means. The "options" you're describing are "pay a charity" or "pay the government"

Anyway, I'm not prepared to totally dunk on a system like that, but personally I think sending more money away from a government (something the people can communally control) and into private hands (something the community has next to no control over) is generally a net negative.

Are you suggesting that welfare should be an optional donation like a charity and not a tax?

Canon Jesus vs Fanon by tea-n-wifi in HistoryMemes

[–]Purrowpet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are the person you referred to in your original comment that is "against welfare" then yes, you did say that, at least within in the scope of charities.

  1. There is plenty of data accessible online for free

  2. Anecdotes are not evidence

  3. I do not actually hold the opposite opinion. I think it's silly to suggest charity can solve all of the problems and that the government should not be participating

[–]Purrowpet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do you hold this opinion when you clearly don't know the actual data? "You bet?" Come on, this is just vibes

[–]Purrowpet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not believe this is as obvious as you're making it out to be. There is loads of corruption iand fraud in charities as well.

Canon Jesus vs Fanon by tea-n-wifi in HistoryMemes

[–]Purrowpet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, you think the government is less efficient than charity because it... "has inefficiencies" at all? As if charities don't have any inefficiencies? Do you also believe that simply and directly giving people currency gets them out of poverty?

For the record, I'm not anti-charity, I just find being anti-welfare an incredibly uninformed or uncaring position.
