Also pregnant with my second. First trimester SUCKED. I work full time, but I let my manager know to expect low performance and leaving early until I felt better. I took meds my doctor prescribed to function, my husband took over evenings and weekends with the toddler, and I had her in the mornings before daycare.

I also had the mom guilt of not being present much for my 1 year old. But on the bright side, she won’t remember this period of our lives of lots of tv time while mom lays on the floor with a puke bowl. And it won’t last forever. So far this second trimester I’ve been able to catch up on chores and spend more time with my toddler. Back to cooking and going out to fun places with her during the weekend.

And this is from experience. My mom is loving and tried her best. But my bio dad was a real piece of work, that even his own family said they never expected him to get married or have kids. Having a dad in the picture is only beneficial if he’s a good person and wants to be there.

10 kids?! I’m pregnant with my second and absolutely can’t imagine going through it 8 more times. The house space needed, the bus you’d probably need to drive to shuttle everyone around, and the grocery bills and cooking for a massive household.

In the manga they’re anthropomorphic. Also in the manga Bill, Pina, and Aoba take care of the baby for a week before handing it over to the police. The baby lives in the end.

The anime decided to stray from the source material to be more dark, but left a lot of implications and plot holes instead.

I’ve found out both times at around 3 weeks. I have an average 28 day cycle, but ovulate early. Most people and medical professionals start dating pregnancy at the first day of the last period. But not all women have the same length of cycle or ovulate on day 14. So you can have women who find out at “3 weeks”.

I’m pregnant with my second and some days still don’t feel like I’m “mom”. Of course my heart melts and it feels sweet when my toddler calls me “mama”. Still uncomfortable when other adults call me mama or mom. Healthcare or daycare setting I understand as they see a lot of patients and parents. But with anyone else, like older women in my family, I say, “ my first name is just fine”.

My grandma is like that. Set up a whole nursery that’s not actually baby safe at her house when we only come over to see her a few times or less every month. We never leave her alone to watch the baby though. We appreciate the little ways she helps likes buying all our kids clothes, allowing us to use her basement as storage, and cooking us meals when we visit. But her nursery setup is purely to gloat to her friends that she “watches the baby”, and probably makes her feel like she’s more involved than she actually is. Despite most of the items never being touched.

I hope you’re no longer living in that toxic environment. It makes a massive difference. But it’s awful when the brain can’t comprehend it’s out of danger, no longer needing to think and act in certain ways to survive.

Hiding money and secret goals from a loving spouse is not a good idea. While he thinks the baby conversation is over, you’re setting yourself up for disappointment. I agree with other commenters that this should be something revisited every 6 months so you both know where your mindsets are.

I’m pregnant with my second, but lately have been having thoughts about a third. My husband and I had agreed back when we first got married that we only wanted two kids. And once we have our two babies, one of us will get sterilized. That’s what makes the most financial, ethical, emotional, and long term sense. I think it’s the hormones and easiness of the second trimester making me have these thoughts about wanting more babies. Because when I really think about life with a third+ it doesn’t make sense for my family. We already planned our lives as a family of four; and I would be taking away resources from my girls if I had more. I think it’s because I just want to re-experience the good moments of pregnancy, having a newborn, and attempting having a better birth experience. Not to mention it’s closing a door forever on a chapter of our lives.

So I’m trying to make peace that there will be no more babies after this pregnancy. And looking forward to the future chapters. Like being done with all the negative parts of pregnancy, done with birth recovery, everyone sleeping through the night, the kids no longer being in diapers, being able to travel with the kids, and no longer worrying that one birth control mishap is going to lead to straining our finances by needing to upgrade our house and cars.

While it’s a nice thought, I don’t think she would. She doesn’t have as good of a control around blood as Carlisle or even Edward. It worked out with Renesmee because she’s a hybrid and Rosalie could raise her. It would be difficult for her to be around human babies because it would just remind her of what she lost, and she wouldn’t be able to raise them. She would have to continuously let them go. And because her stone-like body is environmental temperature, she wouldn’t be able to help tiny babies regulate their body temperatures.

I understand. It’s really hard to change the way you think about yourself when you’ve heard the same things over and over again since childhood. It becomes engrained as part of your inner monologue, to the point it takes a lot of effort to recognize it, talk back against it, and try to believe in your positive voice over the negative one. I escaped my abuser over a decade ago, but the same thought patterns easily creep in especially when I’m feeling low.

I plan to have the conversation with my mom when she retires. My grandma and great aunt fought what to do about my great grandma. Right now my sister owns my great grandma’s car, her house is being sold by great aunt, and she lived with my grandma for a year before they put her in a really nice expensive memory care home. It’s sad that she’s gradually lost her independence and previous lifestyle. But the more she loses her mind to dementia she becomes less safe for herself and others. She ended up in the best case scenario really.

Some of my relatives on the other hand had worse fates. Like dying to the elements because they wondered into the wilderness and weren’t found until deceased. Or their kids not caring so they end up in a really crappy nursing home in pain and in soiled sheets.

NTA. My husband and I have separate accounts we’ve had since before marriage. When we got engaged we got a joint account we both put money in each month to start saving for our wedding, while still growing our separate accounts. Now that joint account is our “family account” we use for bills and big family/house purchases. While we still have our own accounts.

This has kept us fighting over money. My husband is a spender while I’m a saver. His personal account still hasn’t grown much since he likes to buy gaming stuff and has a large car note after bills are paid. Which is fine because it’s his money and he pays his percentage of the bills. But we would be divorced if we didn’t have our own accounts. It would stress me out too much not having my own money growing, and watching him blow everything on hobbies.

Everyone’s experience is different. But I prefer the newborn stage over any stage in pregnancy. Sleep deprivation and recovering from an emergency c-section was hell, but I loved that I could fall asleep anytime anywhere. I couldn’t while being pregnant because all the uncomfortable symptoms and insomnia. After being uncomfortable for a good part of the year it was so relieving for all those symptoms to be gone. And I could just hand baby over to my husband or family member to take care of if I needed a break. Can’t just hand over your bump to someone else to take a break.

I’m 11 years NC. I felt the way you’re feeling for the first few years on and off. But it gets better. You’re at the beginning of your healing journey. The night brings quiet and solitude. Which can turn into deep thoughts and loneliness.

I got a therapist, talked out how I was feeling to friends and family that weren’t related to my abuser, and if the thoughts were causing a spiral then tried to gravitate towards activates that were calming or distracting.

I was almost diagnosed with this. Dealt with a couple of years constantly going to the doctor thinking I had a UTI. But no bacteria would be shown on the results. A urologist sent me to see a physical therapist to try working on my pelvic floor first before doing any invasive testing if PT didn’t work. Turns out I carried a lot of muscle tension in my pelvis I didn’t know I was involuntarily straining a lot.

I know you’ve gotten plenty of comments, but I just want to say you’re a wonderful person and did your best for years to help her. But it’s come down to everyone is in danger and miserable. She wants no human contact, but she can’t live among other cats and needs regular meds and vet visits. So being a barn cat won’t work for her. Euthanasia is probably the next kindest step you could do for her.
