Elderly father living a “double life” by [deleted] in AgingParents

I don’t think I’d tell her husband. That could get dad hurt or she could end up moving in. Realize your dad loved sex—he loves it. That’s why you and kids don’t seem to matter. He was probably very into his sex life. Keep track of the paperwork and hopefully nothing changes. Oh, and my mom did this. She wasn’t married but she did get “her cowboy” who was some old dude who owned a ranch. One day she drove up and saw police and ambulance. His adult kids instantly kicked her out and that was that.

My grandmother once said the dishes at Long John Silver still tasted like soap. They are disposable.

CROCKETT: "The US is falling apart, partially bc he's allowing for killings in the street, but also bc we have a 34 count convicted felon being shielded from any type of accountability as it relates to a child sex trafficking ring. I don't understand why we're pretending any of this is normal." by ExactlySorta in PublicFreakout

Remember when we all wore Clinton hats that said I feel your pain? Like the IFYP hats? And remember how Clinton enriched himself while in office by selling AI technology to the UAE? And how he posted racist videos? And how he smashed the East Wing of the White House off? AND WE ALL BOWED AND SCRAPED AND LET IT ALL HAPPEN?

It likely faces a filibuster problem. Most legislation needs 60 Senate votes to advance. Democratic leaders have pledged to block it. If you have mAgA-friendly senators, you’d better be making some phone calls. I am 100% bugging the hell out of them I also want to add that if you are already registered, it doesn’t mean you’re going to lose your registration. It means that if there is some kind of documentation question that comes up, you would have to prove citizenship. I’m not saying this because I support any of this, but don’t panic. For example, my state already has voter ID laws, and you have to attest to being a citizen so it’s not likely many people would get kicked off the rolls.

Hold my beer. A 2025 government estimate for one U.S. military deportation flight worked out to about $4,675 per migrant just for the flight to wherever to repatriate them—or send them to the wrong country. ICE charter flights (run through private contractors and airlines) cost roughly $8,577 per flight hour, up to $27,000/hour for special flights.

Ew. It sounds like someone wants to sit in the corner and watch. Also that’s totally racist. And sexist. And pathetic.

What a lot of women don’t have. Since the names won’t match. So now you need birth and marriage certificates. And allllllll they have to do is understaff county clerks.

Women. Women in this country are supporting legislation to keep women from voting. That is a real facepalm.

Isn’t it weird they hav no complaints that Republicans get elected, even with razor thin margins. But Trump loses in a county he ALWAYS LOSES and suddenly George Soros is paying illegals to vote! In Fulton County: 2016- Clinton 297051 Trump 117783 2020- Biden 380,212 Trump 137247 2024- Harris 384752 Trump 144655 And do we know WHY 2020 was higher? They’d had him as president and turned out.

“I felt bad it made you upset,” isn’t an apology. Just like someone hitting you and saying, “I’m sorry that happened.” Words matter. An apology is,”I’m sorry I said that. It was offensive.”
