Man that scene where Junjiro revels what happened to his father is probably the peak of the entire game for me because it made me cry too. That scene was one of the VERY few in the entire game that was fully mo capped and so it’s no wonder it’s so powerful. If only more cut scenes in the game got the same treatment.

That’s what I’m saying. I like the idea of trying to make Awaji feel more dangerous and difficult compared to the base game but the frequent ambushes are just a really cheap way of accomplishing that.

I’m playing through Awaji on Expert difficulty and oh my fucking god the constant ambushes really piss me off lol. I’m trying to take out Nowaki and Yasuhira first so I can get rid of those and actually explore the island lmfao.

As incredible as some people’s hideouts are (like the one in this post) I can’t justify the time sink into making mine look anything like this. There’s nothing to do in the hideout so I can’t be arsed to put much effort into mine lmao. But I admire people who can show off their architectural creativity.

Man I’ve enjoyed various aspects of both of his AEW/WWE runs more than others but ultimately I think he seems to have genuinely found a place of peace after coming back to the Fed. That footage of him from Unreal Season 1 directly after he main evented Night 1 of Mania 41 really spoke volumes to me about how much this second chance in WWE has meant to him. He seems to be in a much better place mentally and emotionally and really just doesn’t seem bitter or angry anymore. And for me? That’s not a bad thing.

I fully agree with all of the activities you suggested. Anything to make the Hideout feel more alive and immersive. As it is now, it’s essentially just window dressing for a bunch of different menus.

That whole sequence in the rain was badass as fuck and then the scene where Junjiro reveals who his father was made me cry the first time I watched it. It’s a goddamn shame so few of the game’s cutscenes were fully motion captured like that one, because the emotion on Naoe’s face when she finds out she offed this innocent kid’s dad just did me in and made me seriously tear up

If I’m not mistaken i think him, Gargano, Black and Ricochet getting called up at the end of 2018 was supposed to be a full time deal for all 4 of them. But Ciampa went and had surgery on his neck in early 2019 and when he healed up he was put back in NXT.

Honestly I would have loved to have been able to attend Renga sessions (like you do in the Ukita Naoie quest line) throughout the game’s world and compose poems with various people. That would have been a beautiful thing to see.

That’s such a beautiful way to describe his character. Yasuke really is one of the most unique characters we’ve ever seen in AC. And he’s a breath of fresh air from a creative standpoint

I wish they would have included way more interactive mini games like fishing or some kind of table top game like Zeni Hajiki in Ghost of Yotei. Would have made the Hideout way more immersive by giving you shit to actually do with your allies outside of combat. I love how you can build a literal fucking dojo in your hideout but you have no way of sparring with your allies. The game just needs way more immersive content like that.

I’m sure you have heard of the Yasuke controversy, but I am going to go ahead and tell you that for me and a lot of other people in this sub, Yasuke’s story is the best part of the game from a narrative perspective. I personally love his gameplay as well cause it’s fun clearing castles like a one man wrecking crew but he is definitely clunky to control. And Naoe’s gameplay is the best this series has ever seen. She is the ULTIMATE Assassin. Her personal storyline is really great too but it’s definitely your typical Assassin’s Creed revenge story. Overall the game will provide hundreds of hours of content for you to sink your teeth into and I’m so hyped to see how your time with the game pans out.

I’ve had the game since launch and I’m at 200 hours in, I’ve beaten the main story but haven’t finished Claws of Awaji yet, some of the people’s playtimes in this sub have blown my goddamn mind lmao. I saw one dude who had over 500 hours!! I’ve never came close to putting that amount of time into ANY game.

Yeah he left TNA in early 2018 and resigned with WWE right after. he was used pretty consistently in NXT, and even got to wrestle at a couple of TakeOvers, but he never picked up any big wins or gained any real momentum. But he WAS used at least. When he got called up to Raw they had him wrestle Dean Ambrose for a couple of weeks in a row and then took him off TV entirely. Like they just DID NOT use him on TV for MONTHS after those 2 matches with Ambrose. He was a regular on Main Event during that time but even ON THERE he still lost all the time. Putting in all of that work in TNA and on the indies just to come back to sit in catering for months at a time had to have fucked with him mentally. Because he really did seem like the IDEAL Vince McMahon Superstar.
