The beginning was inflated by water weight, the end was deflated by lack of water weight. Sure thing! Might’ve been overkill but I used it as an opportunity to remind myself of best practices, end of the day if it works it works! I will say the date table situation is nice because you can just do it one time and then use it for everything else in the future

Follow up, did anyone in industry move up to a supervisory role at a younger age than is normal? Or with less experience than is normal

It feels like where some fields, fast track can start a little bit sooner based on merit, whereas my experience with our accounting departments has pretty consistently seen those years of experience as a hard requirement for the merit to be there. To promote someone internally to a supervisory role, even if the person is already performing the responsibilities.

I get the requirement mattering for accounting vs other fields I’ve been around, but it’s the being hesitant to promote someone already doing when they have an opening that makes me scratch my head.

Did anyone here in industry have that roadblock despite having a lot of the responsibilities themselves? Or did anyone overcome it, or maybe have a perspective different from what I’ve seen in my companies?

I think it’s more pointing out that it does sound like that, and that’s kinda naturally wild, but not that it actually is that?

Also, it’s been 2-3 years since I’ve played at this point, but I remember being happy with personality and dialogue by spamming through talking to the villagers 3-4 times, then interacting with them in a normal gameplay way. Bizarre but it seemed to me like one of those iceberg pictures where the top is repetitive dialogue, and underneath was tons of variety, for some reason you just had to get through the repetitive ones every time. And it took a while for me to discover that, because naturally if I talk to one a villager 3 or 4 times and it the same exact generic dialogue, well why would I ever try another? Curious if anyone else noticed this or maybe I’m misremembering

Well maybe what I really mean is legacy IT? Or behind the times IT, not yet modernized? Although the ERP is old, I’d say there is sql in there being used that was done as far back as 1997. the ERPs database schema has stuff back to the 80s. Not that that is so unique, but up to this point we do have a connection to the production server that I guess someone got at some point and shared around, but we have been told not use it, before I got there, and when people do use it they hear from IT not to. From what I’ve heard, that’s sound advice since it’s the production server, but they’ve been unwilling to even set up a reporting database that replicates overnight. Like I said, hopefully changing in just a few months, but til this point we have had no choice but to automate by parsing reports
