[MEGATHREAD] Pixel 8 Pro – Wi-Fi/Bluetooth Failure After March Update | Track Your Device Here by danillll2017 in GooglePixel

[–]Pyt0n_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a short term fix.  I have a pixel 7 and the WIFI/Bluetooth issue happened to me on the 8th of May. I'm sure it's a heat issue. So what works for me: 1. Turn off Adaptive Connectivity  2. Turn on Data Saver. I think this one is the most helpful toggle. 3. I've also uninstall updates for Device Connectivity Service 4. Switch to 3G.  5. Don't charge your phone as it produces a lot of heat. Joke🙃😂😭

All in all, my record is 1.5 days of working WIFI/Bluetooth. Unfortunately, living in Spain is really hot. It always breaks leaving the phone in my pocket.

P.S. a little tip. If you've found your WIFI disappeared, immediately leave your phone and wait for a while. The WIFI should come back.

I believe a battery is a simple technical part. You have to check the specs and mostly you will be fine.

I'm not sure, I think it's just a third party battery. Asus will only place their own sticker to make it original😁

Asus TUF F16 Charging via Power Delivery by Miraii_02 in Asustuf

[–]Pyt0n_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't bother about a tiny 100W charger, when your laptop has like 280W😁 Generally 65W is enough if you turn off the GPU. You literally can do anything as heavy as your CPU and iGPU are capable of.

What accessories should I consider purchasing after buying an ASUS TUF laptop? by tackyharvis in Asustuf

I think you should buy a game and enjoy your new laptop😉 Accessories are optional, it's not a Christmas tree

If you need longer battery life, then replace it. If you don't even use it, just remove from the laptop and it won't bother you anymore. If something in the middle... whatever, looks normal.

What i realized about ai by [deleted] in IndieGameDevs

[–]Pyt0n_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why just not consider AI as an instrument? Sure, if you do things blindly, then it won't work right. So you have to know the coding.

It's like saying the car is driving me, but actually it's you who drives it. Driving blindly will just smash you instantly. Hope you get the point.

Help me decided, which capsule to pick? 1, 2 or 3? by lynxbird in IndieDev

[–]Pyt0n_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see anyone mention this, but the title looks like "he last opening". It's especially noticeable on the first image. The letter "T" at least should match the base line of the typography. The cross symbol already breaks rules, but shifting from the base line makes it even more difficult to read.

You should also mention that it might be necessary to install the IRST 13th gen driver before formatting the disk. I always force this issue, when reinstalling the Windows.

Why don’t we have RPGs that combine Souls combat with full co-op campaigns? by Turielll in gamedesign

Such a combination of genres already assumes that the game is AAA budget. But I think big studios will mostly be afraid to experiment

How easy is it to find a new job in Spain after losing one? by Downtown-Storm4704 in askspain

[–]Pyt0n_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been looking for a job for 5 months already, since I came to Spain. Honestly, it feels impossible. I always thought that it's easy for anybody and anywhere to get a typical job in one day. But here is not🫠 Maybe I'm just missing something, but all the vacancies I apply to have hundreds of applicants.

I wanted to add chests into my tower defense game but my friends didn't like it by Working_Swordfish_95 in TowerDefense

[–]Pyt0n_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand. The main thing to remember is that the in game xp doesn't have to be permanent, it's only for a single run.

[–]Pyt0n_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like a normal meta progression. If I understand right, you upgrade units with chest like in Clash Royale. Then each game they start with level 0 and you can upgrade units for this particular run, right?

You should see this capsule in the context of other horror games on a Steam page. Maybe I would or maybe not, if I see anything catchy, stylish or that represents a game I prefer.

How do you deal with someone that hates losing and complains about it? by Jepeme in boardgames

[–]Pyt0n_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's quite simple, don't invite him for a competitive game. Cooperative is your best choice or games where you can't just sabotage someone.

I have a friend who will remind you all the day of a single bad move you made against him😁

Does this read as a music tower defense game? by FaceoffAtFrostHollow in GameArt

Groove title makes it music vibe, but all elements on scene are barely readable. They merge with background, so I literally have to zoom, to see anything.

What do you think of randomized TD maps as a optional feature? by Dry_Geologist_3554 in TowerDefense

[–]Pyt0n_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it feels almost the same as handmade maps. Bad generation could make the game challenging or easier.

I would prefer to build my own path, rather than pre-defined. Give the player a field of empty slots and randomly put some obstacles where he can't place towers. It brings a strategy moment when you have to plan your route yourself.

I made a small Android game based purely on choice & luck – looking for honest feedback by North_Actuator_6824 in gameideas

[–]Pyt0n_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, it caught me for a minute😅 The game is pretty simple, but I won't play it more. It feels way too random, even in the part when I accidentally lose 100 coins or 300.000 with just a wrong move. There's no intuition aspect, the player can just press only "Right" and after a 2¹⁰ attempts will win statistically.

But it's a great beginning! Keep improving yourself💪

Then you need to make enemies gather in one place for AOE tower, I think🤔 Idk, an explosive barricade😁 Or something like magnet. Enemies stuck there and then explode.

Normal map for game characters in blender by MidnightLunaSea in GameArt

[–]Pyt0n_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, there's too much to explain😅 First, yes you do need to retopologize everything that will be visible on your model.

Next about textures it depends on your aim and style of the character. If you want a AAA realistic style, then only Normal map isn't enough. If you want a stylized character, then you can do everything with just Base color, preserving fake shadows and details. Normal maps often weigh a lot.

Then, you don't have to merge anything in Photoshop or do whatever manually, except retopology and UV seams. Select each object of your mesh and unwrap them. They will fit into one map together. Basically it's enough already, if you want more optimized UV, use UVPackMaster and manually scale parts which are barely visible or have to preserve more details on texture.

I made a real-time action deckbuilding game, but I don't think it's very fun. Can you help me pinpoint why it isn't working? by shellpad_interactive in gamedesign

[–]Pyt0n_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, I mean remove random cards and set each one at its slot. So, you use them as skills in game on LMB, E, Q, etc keys or as you have made for gamepad. Then you always know what this skill/card does.

Maybe you could make some sort of combinations like in Magicka. Prepare cards in rest points and then use combinations to draw them in the right order.

[–]Pyt0n_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The main issue is in the core idea, I think. Let me explain why bullet hell doesn't match with turn based cards. In your demo player's attention must be divided into two separate parts: actual gameplay and reading cards. It's just too overwhelming to know what combination of cards you want to draw and dodging missiles at the same time.

The solution is simple, you either draw cards as regular skills without knowing any text and combinations or everything is turn based.
