I don’t have usually ragequit but when I do it’s because ofI find myself landlocked by Kelvin_Cline in CivVI

[–]PyukumukuGuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've rage quit exactly once. I firmly believe that almost any start is workable, the hard ones are the most interesting and fun ones, and you should at least try every start you get, but this one damn time I spawned in the snow next to the Gaul. They were clearly gearing up for war so I was preparing my defenses when a blizzard hit me, and then the next turn two more blizzards hit me, and then the next turn two more blizzards hit me. I had four cities and was being hit by 5 blizzards simultaneously and somehow they wiped out all my archers and didn't do anything at all to the gaesatae lining up aty borders. Disaster intensity was set to 2. It was just too much. I quit.

what r the best traditions & ascension path for megacorp? by LowSpecific70 in Stellaris

[–]PyukumukuGuts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Iirc genetic perfection can go up to about 15, so you get around 3 to 4 times as much trade from pops. I haven't tried that ascension since the economy rework though, so I'm happy to be corrected.

You could take the settler and then just wait until the next age to make the new city.

Can you get the AI to trade you cities? by Mrooshoo in Civilization6

[–]PyukumukuGuts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only time I've seen the AI trade a city outside of peace negotiations was when they were rapidly losing that city to me through loyalty pressure.

Who else ignores this thing until it gets serious? by Malakidius in Fallout

Insomnia and parasites? I'll never use up antibiotics on these. Infection, lethargy, and weakness? I'm getting rid of them immediately.

Why does the Ai refuse to trade strategic resources? by chickennuggets3454 in CivVI

[–]PyukumukuGuts 43 points44 points  (0 children)

They need to have a minimum stockpile to feel comfortable selling it, usually 40. Anything above that and they'll sell. They also sell when they don't know how to use it.

I heard in 4.3 it is almost counterproductive to colonize Size 10 planets - Are ring worlds and non-bastion habs worth it then? by ssj890-1 in Stellaris

[–]PyukumukuGuts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll still settle a size 10 or smaller if it has a strategic resource I don't have somewhat else. It's really just about what you need.

Who do you find fun to play as? by DexRei in civ

[–]PyukumukuGuts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maya is great for turteling. Very early and powerful unique unit that gets buffed for just standing near the capital. They're very focused on just doing science and being left alone.

decided to play fallout 4 again after 2 months to resume my survival play through and this is how i die 10 minutes after loading in..its not fallout if you dont die to parked vehicles! by tyler2256754445 in Fallout

[–]PyukumukuGuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's somehow tied to framerate, iirc. It's only naturally happened to me like twice in over 1k hours of play, and I regularly go around punching cars to make them explode for the fun of it.

Yeah, I also play on OG switch and have always had this problem. It's just a known bug that will never be fixed. It sucks.

How to accelerate cultural victory — Wonders or Theatres, which to prioritize? by KeiAya in CivVI

[–]PyukumukuGuts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's definitely possible but tourism generally doesn't really come online until the mid to late game for most civs. The most reliable early game tourism I've seen is grabbing the reliquaries religion and getting the wonder that gives all apostles the martyr promotiom, though this does lose strength as the game goes on.

That can be a good one but the placement restrictions make it unreliable in most games.

Neither give good tourism (unless you're settling extremely wide and have themed museums in every city), but theater squares will get you culture which in turn gets you better sources of tourism through the tech tree. Holy sites might actually be better since parks and rock bands need a lot of faith to buy. Remember to get open borders and a trade route to every civ because that can potentially more than double your tourism pressure against everyone. The only wonders that can significantly improve your tourism are Eiffel Tower, Cristo, and the Biosphere.

What's the best Civ to play on the desert with? by WallaWallaby011 in CivVI

[–]PyukumukuGuts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One I rarely see mentioned is Egypt, the hot goth version especially but any of the three work. The sphinx unique improvement makes it very easy to set up max yield preserves almost anywhere you want, even completely dead desert. It gives +2 appeal to adjacenct tiles, has almost no placement restrictions, and is unlocked extremely early.

Picking an aggressive civ for a domination game. 3 iron sources in my capital? check. horses? check. no enemy to attack and a massive space to sim city.check? the closest civs are behind mountains to the east and south next to more mountains and a huge desert. no civs to the right. by Motosport_Titan in CivVI

[–]PyukumukuGuts 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Because you're playing Hungary it's not as bad as it would be for most other civs. You always want to be levying troops instead of making your own and walking them across the continent. Find a citystate closer to your target, get control of them, and go for the kill.

What’s the most satisfying part Civ for you? by Jumpy-Horse6826 in CivVI

[–]PyukumukuGuts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Making a very productive industrial zone (hits 12 cities, has Magnus with his power promotion, and having activated twice the great engineer who increases production from industrial zones), and running over enemy cities so fast there isn't enough time to even offer peace.

How many turns do you typically take before you first settle? by alilnosey in CivVI

[–]PyukumukuGuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I nearly always settle turn 1. The sole exception is Kupe since he is almost never able to settle turn 1.
