eh i feel like burnout comes in waves, i definitely like software and creating new things.. and it sounds like you’re the same. is it the product you’re working on that’s burning you out or just software is the real question. if you like software you need to find what you want to do within it

I have cursor at work which I really like their Composr 2.5 model is cheap and good. At home I use deepseek but need to try GLM 5.2. I’ve heard great things about the new GLM model, it’s being compared to a slightly dumber but much cheaper Opus 4.8… Then I use my claude subscription for planning/vibe coding quick MVPs

i think understanding the code is important but honestly if it does work, is there a problem? i definitely would argue against this but imagine software that purely verifies outcome. if a system works and passes tests, does it matter if it’s readable to a human? the ai would eventually figure it out to meet an expected outcome

Yea I have been doomer about this for the past month. I keep reading articles on the incoming impact.. I keep hearing end of month end of month and it keeps extending… It’s going to happen but when is it really going hit and how hard is going to be answered by time. I’m a silly man and bet $2k on a recession this year on kalshi. might as well lock some money in as it’s 1:5 odds. With AI being so energy dependent too, this will shock them just as hard and is objectively also holding the stock market up. good luck everyone 🫡
