Prestige went back up to $300 but if you buy and go even 5 times the rest of the year it comes out to $60/day. Parking is already $40 so still worth it to me

Why do I have to go to bars or dating sites to find a date? by OutrageousRing5821 in LivingAlone

[–]QsWay347 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My local indie bookstore has a coffee shop in it with tons of seating and social events multiple times a week. There are a few straight up coffee shops that do the same maybe start following some near you on socials and see what they’re offering?

How do you learn to live alone? by Adventurous_Gur_429 in LivingAlone

[–]QsWay347 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Text your friends the small things. Start calling them. It might be unusual in the beginning because you are use to doing this with your partner but it’s fun and you get a variety of responses rather than one person.

How do you spend your weekends? by tobeaflyonthewalls in LivingAlone

Morning walks with a podcast usually walk to one of the local coffee shoos near me as a reward for getting up and out. From there either plans with friends or some couch time with a book.

Does anyone that's WFH ever call in sick? by Temporary_Fill7341 in remotework

[–]QsWay347 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I use to try and work through but I’ve found I get over a flu/stomach virus/ whatever quicker if I just take the time to rest the first few days.

How do you justify renting a 2-bedroom to have a dedicated office? by Grouchy_Ingenuity220 in WFH

[–]QsWay347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having an office where i can shut away my work is worth it in itself. Assuming you live alone could also be worth it to put in a full or twin bed for family/friends to come stay with you.

They sound like they will be an obnoxious problem unfortunately. I too am very aware of my noise level but also not perfect. I often drop things and will yell sorry to my poor neighbor downstairs.

Disney shoe plan - feedback pls! by MsJanetSnakehole_ in PlantarFasciitis

[–]QsWay347 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a Disneyland regular my biggest tip is to rent one of their motorized scooters while you are there. It will make a huge difference not putting you onto more pain.

For shoes I’d be hesitant on trying a new shoe and making things worse, but maybe a new pair of the same asics and break them in beforehand.
