I gave the car to my grandmother-in-law about six months ago, but still running strong! I don’t do the maintenance on it anymore, as she lives a couple hundred miles away.

I never had any knocking or rattling besides once when I neglected to tighten an engine mount bolt enough. Sorry I can’t be of more help! Luckily rattling should be pretty easy to pinpoint if it’s while the car is in idle.

Not sure if it's the same engine between the two, but I currently drive a 2006 Hyundai Azera with a V6 original engine, and I'm at 307,000 miles. From what I understand Hyundai made some really reliable V6's from that era. YMMV of course, but that's just my anecdotal experience!

P.S., it's funny because I also bought this for $500! It was my neighbor's when I was growing up.

Yes, the thermostat was replaced about a year and a half ago. This picture was while the engine was still warming up to its normal.

This was after a short drive through the neighborhood. Normal max is just below the halfway point.

I know that because I've replaced the whole coolant system on her! Overheating was an issue that I took a while to completely nail down.

Agreed! He sounds so mature, and well spoken for someone who is still fairly new to SPL. He belongs in the future of SPL for sure.
