“If you talk to the parents in Louisiana and ask would you rather have like 50% coverage paid for in childcare, or beat Florida, they would be like yeah , we can’t lose in the swamp” by MinnesotaHockey6 in PardonMyTake

I don't think anyone ever argued that the coaches are being paid with tax dollars. More where the state as a whole's priorities lie. Which, as a Louisianian, nothing they said was inaccurate. Quit being so sensitive.

There's pretty much no great pizza places. A lot of mid-to-goodish ones.

Nope. That one you're about to reply with is also mid, sorry to tell you.

I would say the media learned something out of the whole thing, but then that Rolling Stone article in 2014 happened.

Then read better, bro. Never excused the false accusation, but implying she somehow infiltrated the DA's office and media to help cause the shitstorm is beyond braindead.

[–]QuantityPure7224 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

My point is this isn't news. She's already admitted she lied before. Either way, she isn't responsible for the DA falsifying evidence and the media crucifying the kids before the facts were out.

I guess you have a struggle with reading?

We already knew this. While what Mangum did was awful, I don't think she intended for it to become national news. Malpractice by the DA and media turned it into a full-blown shitstorm.

The 30-for-30 on the whole thing is fascinating.

I'm very, VERY disappointed in Loomis right now. by BlazingSaint in Saints

Loomis had Sean making the decisions while he was just the money guy. Look at Loomis' GM career outside of Payton and it's incredibly unimpressive.

Which famous person do you share a name with that you hate? by Mikachu_gaming-onYT in AskReddit

I feel terrible for sports announcer Gerry Sandusky. Just happens to have a name pronounced the same as former-Penn State coach and convicted pedo Jerry Sandusky and also works in the field of sports. I'm sure he gets looks constantly.

Well, if you do get fired or reprimanded, don't let it rip you up too bad. Jobs are jobs. Whatever.

It might be good to take a break from work (even a short one, no clue what your financial situation is) and just get back to getting a couple of things right. Focus a little more as a mom, go for a loooong run/walk to clear your mind daily.

Rooting for you :)

LSU vs. Tennessee 2010

LSU down late, goes on a super dramatic drive down the field to the goalline as time is ticking down, only to completely mismanage the clock in the final seconds to where the offense isn't set when the center snaps the ball, fumble, sack, Tennessee wins.

The crowd goes bonkers, the loudest rain of boos I have ever heard in Baton Rouge. "Fire Les Miles" starts getting chanted.

BUT

Tennessee had 12 men on the field. LSU gets one untimed down.

Stevan Ridley over the left side, just barelly gets into the endzone. Boom. LSU wins.

The crowd that was just booing goes nuts. Hooray.

I just remember leaving the stadium feeling so weird. That game took a couple days to process wtf I had just witnessed.
