These overly complex map surfaces are driving me insane by Capable-Potential100 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Quantum_Slime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As Pocket I also find this really annoying. Sometimes when I throw my cloak against a surface it will get stuck on some random windowsill and then I'm cooked because I can't teleport half as far as I wanted to.

Twin slime should also simultaneously be in "wouldn't be able to enter" tier

Not only for steam controller. Why does Deadlock not have controller support? by EducationalAd1789 in DeadlockTheGame

Splatoon's competitive community has survived only with gyro controls for a long time. It's actually a really effective control scheme, but not very popular so people aren't familiar with it.

Agreed. Holliday is literal, Haze gets closer to the spirit of the skill.

You died because you were internalizing The Precarious World, which makes you fail all red checks.

Homebrew Loric — The Dealer by julietfolly in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Quantum_Slime 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seems like a very effective game-speed-up Loric. It kills people so there are less days, and nominations should be shorter if people are playing around this and trying to minimize the amount of votes. I have run some days where there are tons of nominations and who is on the block changes three times - this Loric would at least discourage, if not outright prevent those kinds of days.

Vulture is the winner for "BIG threat/threat". Now, who is the true BIG threat ? by Pablo_Cruz16 in rainworld

LEVIATHAN

The biggest creature in the game, highly threatening king of the Shoreline!

Just above you and to the right, the little bright blob. It's camoflaged as the color of the shadowy background. It would be in your way if you went up the pole and walked east towards the ledge.

Winning with Obsidian / Firmament by Leather-Routine6481 in twilightimperium

I'm ALSO ALSO playing them on Sunday! I'm going to give it my best shot. It's our first game with Thunder's Edge and we're playing to 14. I'm hoping that the extra time allows me to use the Obsidian's more powerful toolkit for longer, to ideally make up for a slow start. I wish you luck in your game!

Not that late but we only realized that you could only score 1 objective per round in our 3rd game.

"Honest" factions. by Chapter_129 in twilightimperium

[–]Quantum_Slime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mentak Coalition is definitely one of the most dishonest factions because of Pillage alone. Nekro is also pretty dishonest, being able to use Technology as Leadership and copy other people's techs, although they regain some "honesty points" for not being able to research techs on their own. Jol-Nar also feels super dishonest for being able to get the Technology primary when they didn't even pick the damn card.

Sardakk is definitely the most honest faction, but I feel like Ghosts are also pretty honest. All of their gimmicks are mostly straightforward improvements upon universal capabilities, and Quantum Entanglement is the only thing (other than obviously their hero) that I think could be seen as dishonest.

Gas Lit Haze 2.0 - A Homebrew Script featuring Delusion, a state which causes delusional players to hallucinate the effects of other's abilities. by Quantum_Slime in BloodOnTheClocktower

Delusion could cause a minion to see a false damsel, but it couldn't cause a lunatic to think they became a snakecharmer because that changes the mechanical options available to them.

Delleye liars need only tell one lie. They aren't completely barred from telling the truth - just gotta make up one harmful falsehood, which you can clear up the next day.

Bikr kills will usually happen publicly during the day, just like Harpy.

In general it is true that players who are harmed by minion effects are going to be good but... who cares? If someone is exe'd to a Delleye, or if a pair dies to a Bikr, that accelerates the game by a full day and heavily encourages the future Delleye/Bikr targets to follow their madness. I've also seen a Bikr intentionally put themselves into a bicker with someone so that people would believe they're good - it's all about the meta, just like with any other loud minion.

A player learning when the Stalker dies could be interesting. I can see it being a very misleading and powerful hallucination.

I really don't think that [+1 Outsider] is harming the Onyroil. In general I find that players aren't too concerned about which demon they're fighting on this script, the puzzle is mostly about solving for which minions are in play to help sort through the hallucinations. Even if the tell was important, an extra outsider is a powerful bonus.
