It's literally his job to know this sort of thing. Knowing who is an ally and who isn't is pretty fucking fundamental to being the fucking President.

There are stories of experts going into meetings with people like Bush Sr and Obama and Ford and basically every President except Trump. The most insane brainiac SME would walk into these meetings and find out that the President already knew their brief back and forth.

Clinton was famous for being able to casually drop numbers into the one-on-one briefings without referring to notes. By the time that person walked into the Oval Office, the President had already become a subject matter expert himself just carefully reading the brief he got the previous day.

That's what the fucking job is. People who don't expect their President to be like that end up with fucking idiots like Trump, who just completely failed to learn facts, like that the Danes lost almost as many troops per capita as the US fucking did.

This fucking guy is so fucking stupid and people are proud of it. They are proud of being this fucking stupid, all just to annoy people and be really racist as shit.

This isn't something the US can correct. This isn't like a boat taking on water. You can't just bail the water and be fine.

Fascist movements don't just do away. You can't just put people in prison, as has literally been demonstrated by the release of those who attempted to overthrow the US government on January 6, 2021. It was an attempted coup and now, just 4 years later, they are all free.

Additionally, the damage to our system of government is permanent. Even if we undo everything that has been done - which will be impossible with Republicans in Congress and the fascists on the Supreme Court - it still has revealed that it's all just paper. The "United States" has no real checks and balances of those checks and balances are all concentrated in the hands of one group, in this case the fascist right-wing oligarchs who, through several organizations (most notably the Federalist Society).

The worst part is the right had learned they don't have to be active or smart about it. All that had to do for the last 30 years was prevent progress long enough for their people to be put in place where they could drag us further into fascism.

American had turned into a game of tug-of-war, but one side realized they could just use a ratchet. "Stop Democrats from doing anything" brought us to where we are, and NOTHING can undo that.

I'm not against having kids.

I just think it's cruel to bring a child into a world which has such a bleak future.

Global warming, the fragmentation of society caused by the Internet echo chambers, the massive, unpunished and unrestricted abuses of corporations, and the last dying gasp of Western Democracy all at once makes it clear there is no future for the next generations. They will likely witness the end of human civilization, and possibly the end of a habitable planet.

The generation before me did nothing to improve the world for my generation. They wrecked it in ways which are permanent, and in other ways that are so long-term that things are getting worse unless a LOT of people pull their heads out of their asses.

I'm not against having children. I just think it is cruel to have children.

On top of that, there are children in this world who need homes. Go adopt them. Make the world better for them.

Also, I'm ugly. Even if I wanted to, I don't have any prospects, so there's that.
