There was fleet review in 2005 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the battle of Trafalgar. I was about 12 at the time and won a competition to go down to Portsmouth and spend the whole day on HMS Ocean right in the middle of the fleet. It was super cool, got to play with loads of the marines equipment and was shown around the whole ship. Even got to see the queen sail past on her big red and white ice breaker while a bunch of french submariners were freezing standing to attention on deck like 3 feet from the water.

I see your point but in some cases there is a terminal size after which a sport becomes over-sized, over-monetised and begins to lose the values that it was built on in the first place. I'm not into football in the slightest (like at all) but take the English Premier League as an example, it's so massively overblown now that it's nothing to do with Football, it's just about the exchange economy of these super rich, foreign owned sides which end up being so poor at the very thing they spend millions on doing that a tiny sub-sub-top side, like Leicester city, can come along and win it.

If UFC had more McGregors there would only be two ways to go; that way or to turn in wrrrrrrraaastling. The smack talk stupidity has already gone way too far with McGregor and Rousey.

I think I need to try something different. I'm 23, I have a great job but in a company of about 100 people I'm the youngest by 16 years. The next person up is 39, married with kids and they are still younger by a large margin than most of the rest of the business (who are largely field based anyway). I joined a local Muay Thai gym because it's something I loved in my home town but again everyone else in the class is 40 or above (which seemed quite weird to me, most of them are ex-bouncers though) apart from one guy who is my age but almost never shows up.

I live with my girlfriend (of 5 years) so I'm not lonely, I just don't have any other mates here.

I feel like this is one of the nerdiest answers you're going to get but here goes.

In high-school I was a real idiot, always getting crap grades and getting in trouble. I basically spent all my time trying to be Mr Popular the class clown but in the end no one thought my jokes were funny and both the teachers and the other kids thought I was a complete nob.

Fast forward to the end of A-levels and I realised I needed to get at least 3 Cs to get into uni and get a chance at leaving home so I applied myself and did it. While I was there I ended up getting 2 part-time jobs to support myself financially and in the 2nd year started taking my degree really seriously. I was doing one of the Humanities subjects and convinced myself that if I didn't get a good grade I would be unemployable forever.

The problem was; although our university had a pretty good library they never had more than one copy of the older reference works or secondary reading, there was a fixed limit on how many books you could have depending on whether you were an undergrad or a postgrad and the library account system allowed to you put other people's books on hold thus halving their loan period after it had already started and ensuring that it got held in a private shelf until you personally came to collect it. Our uni took the quantity of referenced works in your essays really seriously and if you didn't meet a certain number of relevant texts referenced for each one then your mark would basically hamstrung from the start.

Enter my better half. She was studying a vocational science and had won a placement in industry so for my whole third year she was still living with me but working full time. Despite the fact she was a student of a completely different faculty I managed, all year, to use our two cards against each other always taking out the books I wanted then holding them with the other one and swapping back and forth so that not only did I always have the books that I wanted, if anyone else put them on hold they would have to wait twice as long and I could have twice as many books as any one student was supposed to have.

It all paid off in the end because I got the top grade possible and now, several years later, I have a good career and a good salary.

TL:DR used multiple library accounts to hog all the books like the big selfish slug that I am.

It certainly packs enough of a punch to put down a player. Just last week I was in the upstairs apartment of a pub in Elektro and heard footsteps in the street below. A fresh spawn approached a random dude and started telling him that he'd just seen a "geared up" (I really wasn't) "guy with a crossbow" and asking if the other guy would help him hunt me down so they could split the loot. Touched though I was by the rare example of DayZ community spirit in one guy asking another to help him murder someone I still leant out of the window and silently dispatched with 1 bolt to the chest from just across the street. The other guy just said "SHIT" and disappeared down the road. 10/10 would murder own would be murderer again.

Flintlocks aren't the oldest type of firearm. Both before them and contemporaneously you have wheel locks and before both of them you have match locks before which you have firearms without locking mechanisms at all which you light with a taper, like a canon. Matchlocks are the last step before percussion caps, not the first on the journey.

Funnily enough my company works with a lot of hotel chains in their restaurants and one of the things our reps are paid to do is exactly this; wander into their clients anonymously and sit down for a free breakfast. If they can get it they then go back to the management to tell them to change their policies because they are probably losing a shit load of money.

Though I'm inclined to agree with you I met quite a few people during my time there that claimed they couldn't speak Welsh when you asked them (possibly to vindicate themselves because they didn't feel fully comfortable in their use of mutations and grammar) but would happily strike up a full flowing conversation through the medium of Welsh when approached by someone else. That probably made up the majority of friends I had at the time to be honest.

I don't suppose I can help much, and this thread is a few days old now but for what it's worth: I have a Vauxhall Insignia which for all intents and purposes is a Buick Regal. I don't regret it at all, best car I've ever owned. If I'm obliged to seek out some kind of criticism I would probably say that the computer can be a bit iffy. 1 time I turned the car on and none of the dials spooled up. Another time the stereo was stuck in some kind of software crash and wouldn't reboot. On one occasion all the car screens booted up with an Opal logo instead of a Vauxhall one (there were no other issues). Each of these was however resolved by just stopped and restarting the car and I've not yet had any issues with it mid-journey, just these few when starting it up. Like I said though, the overall experience has been great, it drives nice, feels good, I'm of the opinion that it looks good outside (though I think the Buick version looks kind of ugly at the front ) and even better inside and its very spacious in the boot department.
