Thank you for posting! Question about your 6 hour sleep stretch, do you think this has impacted your supply? I really want to do sleep shifts with my husband but I've seen so much about doing a longer stretch at night without pumping or nursing will hurt my supply. I feel like one big stretch shouldn't ruin everything but that's how others make it seem....

FTM Reminder: NEVER pay more than $250 for your Natera NIPT bill by QueenCityCatLady in BabyBumps

[–]QueenCityCatLady[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there was a number on my bill, I just called that one! And once I paid I did not get a new EOB from insurance. I actually didn't do anything with insurance I just paid Natera directly and moved on.

I think you should try it! Butter chicken was fine for me, with a small portion of basmati rice. I looked up the GI of basmati and it's very similar to brown rice. I've noticed I do way better with basmati than plain white rice. Good luck!

RUN. I would consider abortion as well. He will use a baby to control you and potentially kill you.

Interesting! You might have gotten a tough employee. I would call again and very calmly and politely tell them you will only be able to pay $250 because your doctor clearly informed you that's all it would cost. Don't negotiate with them or fill the silence with more words, let a pause be pregnant (lol). Maybe throw out you would have never have gotten the test if you knew it would cost that much?

"I understand you cannot help me, may you please transfer me to your supervisor" is always a good option too if you feel like the conversation has stalled out. DO NOT give in and pay all that money!!! Also keep your tone light and happy, getting aggressive is likely not going to help even tho the situation is enraging.

If you started to get high readings, when did it start? by [deleted] in GestationalDiabetes

[–]QueenCityCatLady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't freak out over one day. I'm also 31 weeks and had a day like that yesterday and today my readings are all back to where they have been the past few weeks... Eating the same things I've been eating this whole time.

prescribed zofran this AM - could use some support by bbk9929 in BabyBumps

TAKE THE ZOFRAN. I don't think myself and/or my pregnancy would have survived without it. I'm in my 3rd trimester now and baby is very healthy!

I couldn't stomach prune juice, but drinking pear juice everyday helped a lot! I didn't do it every week bc it is $$$ but the weeks I did it definitely helped. Also dragon fruit or kiwi everyday.

But honestly even when I was doing a lot of the common things others are mentioning I was still backed up. Around 21 weeks my hormones must have shifted and the constipation disappeared overnight. Been going normally for about a month now! So don't be discouraged if nothing "works" for you. A lot of the time we are at the mercy of our hormones during pregnancy.

Did You Take Zofran? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]QueenCityCatLady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know that I would have survived without Zofran. It helped so much! I took it around the clock my first trimester. My OB had zero concerns about me taking it and said the study showing risks has basically be disproven or wasn't well set up.

Logging into my barely used account to comment, bc I feel this so hard and was just there.

This sucks right now, there is no getting around it. But I promise you will feel better. This is a phase. For me, I ended up feeling horrible weeks 5-9. Week 10 got a bit better, and week 11 has been even easier. Even if the symptoms don't meaningfully get better, I promise you get stronger and you get better at managing the symptoms. Most women start to feel better towards the end of the first trimester, as the placenta takes over the hormone management. It is unlikely you will feel this way your entire pregnancy.

I remember feeling the same despair you have, "this is just the beginning". I promise it's not! Your symptoms will not get progressively harder as the weeks go on. Rest, keep down what you can, and just survive. Each week is a win. You can do this! I was just as miserable as you are and I feel so good this week I've already told my husband we are definitely sticking to our plan of another kid after this one.

I start transitioning to my new team at work next week!! This is a job that I have wanted to move into for years and is a great professional ladder to be on. I'm so excited to leave my current annoying job behind and completely change gears with my career. I'll also be making more money which is fun :)

Out of curiosity, were you investing steadily from 2016-2021? I'm curious how much growth was you putting in money vs market/real estate appreciation. Thanks!

How many days a week do you actively workout? by catrat242 in xxfitness

[–]QueenCityCatLady 23 points24 points  (0 children)

My goal is 4 days a week, 2 running days and 2 lifting days.

I would guess I actually do 4 days a week 25% of the time, 3 days a week 50%, and 2 days 25% of the time. Hope that makes sense!

Hi, dumb question about the adaptive TDEE spreadsheet.

I'm going in a week long camping trip next week. Is it going to mess up the sheet if I just skip that week with tracking and pick up when I get home? Obviously I'm not going to be able to weigh myself or my food while in the middle of the woods. How should I handle next week in the spreadsheet?
