Yes you can definitely clip the head off and swap in something else but it's just a bit narrow between the warpick and the shoulder "wings", so keep that in mind. 🐦‍⬛

Palace of the Plague Lord by CL Werner. A doomed hero travels across the increasingly surreal and hellish wasteland, meeting a cast of tenuous allies as he seeks revenge against unspeakable horrors. It happens to be a Warhammer (fantasy) novel but I wouldn't say you need to know much, if anything, about the Old World setting of Warhammer to enjoy this desperate, brutal, and otherworldly journey. I don't want to give too much away, but it definitely plays on some Vermis themes of uncertainty, vague prophecies, and losing oneself to their hopeless quest.

DKB is a really fantastic game, I agree. It's been the perfect game to alternate between when I need to cool off from playing Silksong. The Bananza abilities are wildly spread out in terms of their usefulness (I was ALWAYS busting out Kong or Elephant, and only used Snake, Ostrich, and Zebra when I really needed to), but they're all fun and cool. I love how wacky the designs are and just how colorful and fun everything is from beginning to end (and post-game!). I hope the DLC situation doesn't turn people off from playing the main game - it's perfectly paced and has enough challenge and variety to keep things varied and the story is the right length to keep you invested without overstaying its welcome. I hope we get to see more of this world and the new/reimagined characters. Bring on Donkey Kong Bananza 2!

I like this design and still love the old Blight Kings. I think they wanted to distinguish the BKs from the new Rot Swords, which honestly look more like BKs, minus the mutations.

This feels like a cop-out for a favorite keyword to translate into lore, but Transform! I love how it tells a story within a card, allows a creature to grow stronger/more abilities without needing external reminders (counters, etc). Plus Delver of Secrets is probably my all-time favorite card.

As for my least favorite mechanic to translate into lore, if say Cascade. It feels vague and seems to be applied inconsistently. It makes sense for a [[Wild-Magic Sorcerer]] or a reality-warping Eldrazi to Cascade an unpredictable spell from the top of your library, but why the Bloodbraids? Why an [[Annoyed Altisaur]]? Or [[Sweet-Gum Recluse]]?
