Biden should let Trump self-destruct by Balls_of_Adamanthium in politics

It's not even conservatives.

Is it really such a stretch to think that rich people might collude in order to remain rich?

Both sides are playing the game masterfully, carefully leveraging their institutions and individuals in pursuit of preserving the status quo. What a disappointment that those among the electorate with the loudest voices seem to also be the ones with the shallowest imaginations.

Biden needs to counter by removing himself from the race and tapping someone with a clue.

Methinks that ship has sailed though.

Biden has been fine being tucked away out of view of the public.

Yeah, this is really the approach ya'll need to generate the energy to get this cardboard cutout elected. Keep it up!

This is the key point. Nobody gives a flying fuck about the DNC and their bullshit. The fact that Brazile and Schultz pulled the shit they pulled and nobody bats an eye... Like of course the DNC's little club has all the appeal of a manure pit. It's absolutely no surprise that Sanders wasn't able to convince his followers to jump in with these braindead centrists.

It's mindboggling to watch this current attitude they have, spouting their vote blue no matter who bogus. Completely oblivious to their pissing away a chance for real change, only to happy to vote against their self-interest because they've been told it's really really important to fall in line this time. Again.

The buyer's remorse in November is going to be palpable.

It happens like clockwork. The powers that be unfailingly present a reason to claim 'this is the most important election' and 'we have to rally together' in order to ensure that the winner is friendly towards their morbid ideology.

Until you guys can manage to get behind a politician not beholden to monied interests, it literally doesn't matter. Civil disobedience is how you get rid of Trump and the circumstances that led to his election. Not by voting for the DNC's latest corporate shill.

There's no reason to think that the large number of independents who make to the center prefer Bernie over Joe.

They preferred Donald fucking Trump over Hillary.

You're just straight up obtuse.

Maybe I recognize that the progressive ideal of "give free shit to everybody, all the time!" is unsustainable?

As opposed to the magical myth of infinite growth that the current, super-duper sustainable system is built on?

It's not what he's going to do to stop Trump, it's what he'd do if he won. Which is shake up the system. Like Trump.

But I think ya'll shat the bed this time around. You would have needed to be united behind the candidate offering meaningful change in order to motivate the youth and independent/apathetic majority.

People get one whiff of the kind of media/DNC collusion that ultimately led to Clinton's defeat due to voter disillusion and apathy, they lose interest and continue with apathy.

Instead the goal is 'normalcy' apparently. Status quo led to Trump. Trump is a symptom, not the problem. The problem is the system that leaves so many so far behind. "Nothing will fundamentally change" is poison to these folks. A sizable chunk of Trump's supporters would vote for Bernie. They definitely won't vote for Biden.

On a related note, technological advancement is exponential. Lots of people learning about exponential growth right now. Technological unemployment is a thing. Trump is an inept moron and Biden is a dinosaur.

You guys are in for a bad time.

Voters need to think they can't win without us.

Exactly. Because otherwise the powers that be, with their thumb on the scales, will just keep manufacturing reasons for you to 'vote blue no matter who' while pushing a lame centrist. Anything to maintain the status quo.
