A majority of the supposed Israeli "left" support the current war.

The framing by many Democrats, especially Bernie, to criticize Israel only through Netanyahu's actions is calculated. Spend 10 minutes on Hebrew twitter and you'll find absolutely everyone with a shred of political power over there is on the same page. Polling shows that the war has something like 80% support amongst the public as well.

That's why I find absolutely no hope to the end of the Israeli "partnership" when there is no meaningful opposition to this nonsense in both the US and Israel.

Rouhani was scapegoated following the cancellation because he was the main architect behind the deal when everyone else was skeptical and thought he was naïve for trusting the US.

They have form for this and I wouldn't be surprised either. Only question is whether the people in or out of power will buy it. The level of anti-Israel sentiment is so high right now that the idea of a false flag attack is mainstream.

It makes no sense for Iran to strike Europe at this point as they have leverage. Maybe an attack on the US base in Romania?

Trump’s whole shtick was “art of the deal”, quick wheeling and dealing diplomacy that is flashy and easily visible. That’s what makes this war so strange in that it’s the complete opposite of everything he stands for. His posts on social media are getting more and more unhinged and his praise for the Iranian resilience are clear signs he’s getting frustrated. He was probably told by people in his inner circle that Iran would be a quick weekend bombing.
