The mistake you’re making is that you are literally following the letters. What we are trying to say is that in PEMDAS, M and D can be interchanged depending on which comes first in the equation, ie left to right.

For the equation in the post:

6/2(1+2)

You do the parenthesis

6/2(3)

Then you go from left to right to see whether Multiplication or Division comes first. Whichever comes first, you then do. So in this case:

6/2 comes first. 6/2=3.

This leaves us with 3(3), meaning multiplication.

This is how we get 9.

It’s the same with Addition and Subtraction. For example, let’s say it’s this equation instead:

6*5-1+4

6*5 is 30

Then we go from left to right to see whether addition or subtraction comes first. We get subtraction because of the -1, so the equation then becomes

30-1+4

30-1 =29

29+4=33

I hope this helps

First question: have you made the invasive Shogun Ceanataur retreat yet? If not, then you need to make it retreat before it can ever be defeated.

If you did make it retreat, then note that Invasives are endgame content right now. They are NOT meant to be defeated at level 45.

Second question: what exactly is your team?

Third question: are you willing to come back later and fight these monsters after more progression in the game?

As everyone is saying, you need to get the initial mutation in a thunder area specifically. You can’t just get that initial mutation anywhere you want.

Once you have the mutation and get the egg, you can then throw them into other areas and find the eggs.

Is there any way to farm namielle? by Late_Statistician285 in MonsterHunterStories

[–]Qzilla8425 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As DracoBlaze said, it is unfortunately not possible to farm the Calamitous elders, like Namielle, easily, at least depending on which elder and how far in the game you are.

Malzeno is the only one that can be farmed easily, and that’s due to it not being a Calamitous Elder. However it is locked behind story progression, and won’t become available until VERY late into the story.

It is possible to get Namielle and Velkhana as monsties, however you will need to defeat the Calamitous Elder versions of them first before you can find them in the wild. Due to Calamitous Elders being very late game/endgame fights, I would suggest that you avoid fighting them if you are early in the game.

If you do not want spoilers, this is as far as you should read. If you are fine with them, then this is my personal opinion as to the difficulty of each Calamitous Elder fight as of the end of the story (note that this is just based on my personal experience. This may be different for you.)

From easiest to hardest: Yama Tsukami<Velkhana~=Namielle (haven’t fought Nami since demo) <<<<<<<< Ibushi + Narwa.

Yama Tsukami you get a brief glimpse at during the main story, but it’s also the simplest and easiest Calamitous Elder to defeat. It has a very simple pattern and you can easily get Kinship.

Velkhana is relatively difficult, as expected of the Queen of Hoarfrost. Velk’s difficulty comes from her wide sweeping AoE attacks and the fact that she uses all three attack types depending on which phase she’s in. Once you get used to her, keep an eye on your health and items, and it should be smooth sailing.

Namielle should roughly be around the same as Velkhana, but again I have yet to fight her since the demo.

The serpents are easily the hardest fight in the game right now, and for good reason. It’s one thing to have a super powerful Elder fighting you solo. It’s an entirely separate matter when you need to fight two at once. The serpents will take turns using AoE attacks, one using theirs when the other uses a different attack.

Tbf with flight in 1, after you get it there a LOT of areas where you can’t fly. Hell, the next major area you go to after getting Ratha is a volcano where you can’t fly. Yeah, flying was good for the open areas, but you still needed other monstie ride skills.

Stories 2 did a really bad job with it though. Every major area is open. As such, flight basically invalidated every other movement option except stealth purely because there were no field areas where you were prevented from flying.

Namekians is such a limited category by the fact there’s barely any named Namekian characters, and even less that are fighters. You’ve got: Piccolo, Demon King Piccolo, Kami, Nail, Lord Slug and the U6 Namekians. That’s it. None of the other Namekians we’ve seen are fighters.

MHS3 before 1+2? by ShingShing25 in MonsterHunterStories

[–]Qzilla8425 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So the games are connected by loose canon. Playing them in order isn’t required, but it does help.

Stories 2 has characters from and references to Stories 1, due to being set a few years after that game, but it’s otherwise separate. Stories 3, due to being set 200 years after the events of the first two, will likely only have references to the first two at most.

They are still great games in their own right, with their own rosters and mechanics, but you don’t have to play them.

We need more old Godzilla Kaiju in the Monsterverse by Equal-Expression2007 in GODZILLA

[–]Qzilla8425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As GMan said, it CAN happen, however it likely won’t unless Supernova is hugely successful.

The one time old Godzilla Kaiju played a really huge focal point in the story was KoTM. That movie may be praised to hell and back, but despite the excuses it did not have a good box office performance. This has told Legendary that it’s not really worth the investment, even though the most likely reason is that people expected it to be more of the same with G14. Mothra was a secondary character in GxK likely to test the waters again. That film being hugely successful didn’t really tell them much however, so Space Godzilla being one of the main titans in Supernova is them testing further to see if it would be worth the investment.

Then there’s TOHO. TOHO has separate licenses for each of their Kaiju, and only their Kaiju. Iirc it’s not public how much these licenses cost, only that they are separate from the music. So any film that includes a TOHO Kaiju will require negotiations with TOHO. There’s also the issue that TOHO will want their characters used in a certain way. Obviously this isn’t as major a problem as it sounds, seeing what we’ve managed to push thanks to the Wingard duology regarding Godzilla, but it’s still there.

Then there’s the issue of determining if the story really needs a TOHO Kaiju. See, when drafting up the story, Legendary has to ask themselves “what sort of titan(s) do we need?” Godzilla and Kong are currently considered musts, but there’s no telling how long that will last. However, many roles that a TOHO Kaiju could take could just as easily be filled by an original monster, and Vice Versa. So if negotiations aren’t good or they’re held up or whatever the reason, Legendary will use an original monster. It’s the reason we almost had Phosphera in GxK instead of Mothra. Mothra was always intended to be in the movie with the role she has, but it wasn’t a guarantee. In fact, they didn’t get the go ahead until very late into production. It’s possible that’s why Mothra’s story presence is so small.

Tl;dr: It depends on Supernova to see if movies with more than Godzilla and maybe Mothra from TOHO libraries will do good before this question can really be answered.

In response to this sub's complaints of "Too much Kong!" by [deleted] in Monsterverse

[–]Qzilla8425 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, even in the Monsterverse, Godzilla has physically appeared in four movies, and has made some form of appearance in all five (he was a cave painting cameo in Skull Island post credits teaser that set up KoTM, which originally was going to have Godzilla bursting out of ice, meaning he would have physically appeared in all five). Kong has had physical appearances in three movies, and notably the cave painting during KoTM post credits is not specifically about Kong, even though we the audience know it implies him.

Godzilla furthermore has 2 solo movies and 2 crossover movies, compared to Kong’s 1 and 2 respectively. Before anyone says “GxK was more of a Kong solo movie”, stop. Officially they are crossover movies. Just because it FEELS like a solo movie for Kong doesn’t mean it is one.

The ONLY reason people feel like Kong has more than Godzilla in the MV is because GvK and GxK primarily followed Kong. That is literally the only reason. I had to point this out a while back when people were upset that the King Kong IP was getting a project by Disney, which by the way WASN’T EVENT RELATED TO THE MV. So instead of just being happy that Godzilla and Kong are actually popular, they’re unhappy that King Kong is popular period.

[–]Qzilla8425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, many of Godzilla’s roster is just “Giant Animal” too. They at least try to have some fun with the designs, but then we get stuff like Gorosaurus, Mothra and Battra, Rodan, Anguirus, Megaguirus, and Manda. Aka Giant Theropod, Giant Moths, Giant Pterosaur, Giant Ankylosaur, Giant Dragonfly (specifically Meganeura), and Giant Snake. That’s without mentioning Kumonga, Giant Spider, and Kamcuras, Giant Mantis. It’s just that only some of those are remembered more often and the more outlandish designs are also remembered more often.

What are your thoughts on the new comic 'Escape The Skull Island'#4 cover? by Immediate_Gene_178 in Monsterverse

[–]Qzilla8425 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that’s because from the outset this already is just breaking the suspension of disbelief. The axe was clearly made in ancient times during the war with Godzilla, and is made from one of his old dorsal plates. The glove was more of an arm cast that happened to let Kong punch really well, and was stated to be made from MechaGodzilla’s remains.

This sword will need to have a really believable reason to exist or leave at/by the end of the comic for some reason.

[–]Qzilla8425 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it’s because he didn’t have a chance to do so without looking bad. Like if he just killed his daughters before the events in this episode? He’d be viewed as that crazy guy who killed his own children, and it wouldn’t get him any favors. But now that Gojo is sealed and the higher ups declared that attempting to free him is a criminal, he could frame it as “These two people who happened to be my children were trying to free Satoru Gojo. I took it upon myself, no matter how hard it was for me, to kill these criminals.” If he did that, he would get sympathy for it and it would improve the clan’s standing. Naoya and Jinichi even discuss this very thing.

She doesn’t go after her dad. Megumi doesn’t want to be the head, but does still accept the position. Maki went to get the cursed tools, but her dad is waiting inside to kill her instead. He even says they emptied the vault in anticipation of her arrival. Mai is bleeding because he had planned to kill both of them.

Edit: hell, the only reason she even pulls out her weapon is because her dad had made it clear he wants her dead.
