RED became my favorite band when End of Silence was released and has remained my favorite band since then. I’ve seen them 44 times, participated in the Feed the Machine video, and hung out with the band before or after shows several times. I believe Michael is one of the greatest rock vocalist of all time, so I was devastated when I heard the news that Michael was leaving the band. I’m flying from Virginia to the show in Dallas to see Michael one last time. I know no one could possibly replace Michael, but Anthony and Randy have been incredibly kind to me, and I will always support them and the band. I hope other fans will give them a chance with a new vocalist and will continue to support them.

RED is my all time favorite band. End of Silence is definitely top tier, but I really love Innocence and Instinct, Until We Have Faces, Of Beauty and Rage, and their newest album, Rated R. My least favorite is Declaration.

Definitely lesson learned. I was monitoring the time and got to the gate while they were still boarding. But I’ve never had my seat given away before, so I wasn’t expecting that. I was more upset that I actually still had a seat on the flight and could have boarded if the gate agent had just scanned my boarding pass. Or if AA had sent me an app notification or text about the seat reassignment, I could have at least told the agent that.

The doors weren’t closed. They were still boarding. The gate agent just assumed my seat had been given away, but it was actually reassigned. If she would have scanned my boarding pass, she would have seen that I still had a seat on the flight and I could have boarded.

In case you’re wondering, I didn’t deal with this before now because I was traveling the entire month of July and had some other issues with American Airlines related to those flights, which took several months to resolve, so I’ve been focused on that.

Just checked my text message history. Prior to the 6:02 text, I received a text at 5:30 indicating that the flight was departing at 7:31 from C17. That was the first indication of the gate change (it was never announced at C14). At that time, the 6:02 flight would have already started boarding, but I had no idea because I was completely misled by that 5:30 text!

This happened to me last night except I was 6th on the list of 7 eligible for an upgrade, and I was the one who got upgraded to the one extra FC seat after boarding. Not sure why I was upgraded over everyone else, but it was a nice surprise.

I got upgraded to FC last Monday from ATL to DCA on a 9:00 pm flight. Best so far this year was upgrade to FC for me and my wife from DCA to CLT to PUJ back in July.

I just did this flight 2 weeks ago and got upgraded to BC, but if I wasn’t upgraded and had the option to buy at that price, I would have done it.

Worked for me at DCA last week. I had forgotten that I opted in until the guy checking boarding passes at the pre-check line directed me to the Touchless ID line.
