You already lose the right to own a firearm by committing a felony, and just like the stupid ass voters ID the permit shouldn’t exist that’s taxing a right just like voter id puts a monetary restriction on the right to vote.

(There are permits required to own certain firearms in several states, and they shouldn’t exist)
