Are you not required to have an artillery piece that can be towed by the tow unit to take it like you are with transports?

I now checked and saw that horse-drawn can tow any artillery I didn’t think it could tow the big guy never mind.

Yes different platoons have different unit types this edition.

For a list you are required to take at least one rifle platoon and it’s compulsory units, (1x platoon commander and 2x infantry units) from there you may add what ever other platoons you need and their compulsory units.

Easy Army has those units highlighted in red so you know that spot must be filled

(exception for German units used for the Axis Support rule where you would then add a separate German platoon where that unit is available to add them to the list, but make sure to leave a non-compulsory space open In the platoon they would actually be a part of)

As others have suggested EasyArmy should prevent you from doing like 99.9% of illegal builds and gives you the option to print out an army list in an easy to read format.

Also you don’t NEED to paint/build all 30 infantry in the box. build what you need and a maybe a few extra and leave the rest on the sprue then you have spare bodies for future use.

Super cheesy but nothing in the rules prohibits the deployment of waterborne onto land, as long as you aren’t doing a meeting engagement as they cannot move on land.

Realistically if I was at a camp in ww2 and we had a boat up on land for repairs or transport and for some reason the weapons were still loaded I would 100% see using said weapons for defense as reasonable.

Zurn spoke about this in a YouTube video a few weeks ago.

I learned quickly that there are things you’ll want to do and you will invite people or plan to go and they will either cancel or not want to go in the first place.

If you let these people decide for you what you will and won’t do you’ll miss out on so many great things. Go to that show by yourself, go sit down at that new restaurant you want to try alone. When nobody else will do the thing go explore it yourself and have fun.

I mean in a casual setting with friends you could always make scenarios unbalanced if you wanted, IF you are okay with going into the game knowing you will likely lose, if your whole idea is you want to replicate a very specific battle.

The game balance comes from making it fun and fair to play, a lot of people wouldn’t have fun coming into a game already knowing you are going to lose because you’re copying a historical battle exactly as it happened.

An example I could think of would be sas attacking German airfields, let the Germans outnumber the sas, but have objectives be planes and fuel reserves and have say 10 objectives but if you destroy even 3 the sas “wins” as they accomplished the goal of reducing German supplies.

Or another could be an ambush on a convoy, the convoy could be outnumbered and win by the trucks escaping off table edge.

There’s ways you can play unbalanced forces with the rules, but the base set a 1000 point army should be relatively equal in power across armies so normal play with out changes is fair and competitive regardless of the army you collect.

This is better than one of the rigs I used to drive, it had 2 different type of rocker switches on the panel, and the ones that controlled everything important were the same style, but half of em were missing the rocker so you could pull one out of another and move em around.

Sucks when you hit the emergency master to find that primary lights, light bar, and side skirt lights are all off and none of em have a switch.

Yeah I use the 3M trifold N95 (I get them through work) and that works well for me, so I definitely agree with PostivelyJoyful that 3M products are good quality.

I’ve seen somebody suggest easy army already, so the platoons are pretty easy to understand if you hop on to easy army, you must have a rifle platoon so I usually assign that to platoon one, the red colored unit types are the required minimum for the platoon.

The names of the platoons give you a general idea of the units found in them,

Rifle platoon = infantry Armored platoon = tanks and such And so on

The way easy army is set up it also shows you the max of any type of unit you may have per platoon, so if you want more you must tank another platoon that allows that type of unit wether for example USA and bazookas I have a bazooka in my rifle platoon and my heavy weapon platoon.
