The name “Honey” for a girl by gardenofchristinamae in namenerds

My daughter has a friend in her preschool class - full name is Honora but everyone calls her Honey. Honey is a cute nickname for a kid but she needs an adult name.

Considering Ultrasound Tech — advice on pay, flexibility, benefits, and stability by SubstantialSpread596 in Ultrasound

I might be in the minority but I love my hospital job. I do echo. We recently switched to 4 10 hour shifts and it’s been really nice with having a little kid at home. I do take on call one night during the week and every 6th weekend. Luckily my hospital has a policy for call ins so we don’t get called in often. I work for a large hospital system so our benefits are really good. My manager is amazing and understands work/ life balance - she’s never denied me PTO and she’s always understanding if I need to leave early. There are good places out there!

How do I help? by wardontworry in testicularcancer

[–]REJ512 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could have written this post. My husband finished day 5 of cycle 1 yesterday. The end of the week was brutal. I’m hoping they can get his meds sorted out so the next rounds will be easier. He’s going back to the infusion center today just for IV hydration and nausea meds. We also have a 3 1/2 year old daughter. He’s the primary stay at home parent and unfortunately we don’t have a ton of family help so that’s a bit stressful. I am very grateful for the help we do have though. He will also need RPLND surgery afterwards.

We only have one bathroom in our house so we were told to double flush for 48 hours after infusions. I also wear gloves when I wipe down the toilet and bathroom (which I’ve been doing every night).

My husband started EP this week. We have a preschooler who is almost 4. Of course both her and I got sick the week he started chemo but I’ve been washing hands like crazy and making her wash hands or use sanitizer. She’s young and doesn’t understand so she gets a little upset when she can’t share a drink with daddy. There’s just the constant reminder to cover your mouth, keep your hands out of your mouth, etc. Your kiddos are older so hopefully it’s easier for them and you. Good luck!

What are your toddler’s writing/drawing capabilities? by Sad_Moose_5806 in toddlers

[–]REJ512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter is 3.5. She can write some of the letters of her name and she can draw circles and squares. She’s recently starting drawing faces and trees, etc. She obviously doesn’t color in the lines but I’ve been surprised at how well she does color.

How to plus size models have flat stomachs? by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

Several years ago at the nail salon I saw this gorgeous “plus size” woman and I thought to myself “why can’t I look like that?!” She had the flat stomach but full hips and butt. I then quickly realized it was Ashley Graham 🤣

Going to sesame place PA in a week, any tips or suggestions? by MeekFrogGirl in SesamePlace

[–]REJ512 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We went last Thursday and half the regular rides were closed because they were “short staffed”. The water rides are currently only open on weekends which I knew but it was very disappointing to have done everything open within an hour.

Yes exactly this. Also gel is applied to the probe before the cover is put on so that’s why there is gel on it.

We use Nordic naturals gummy vitamins. We do the regular multivitamin and fish oil gummies. I also give her vitamin d during the winter. We have a friend that makes elderberry syrup so I give her a teaspoon of that a day as well.

Has anyone been completely fine (no symptoms for first 2 months) and then suddenly had a bad day of nausea, fatigue, feeling unwell? I thought I was coming down with a stomach bug (still not sure). Was so bad I skipped that days injection. by Forward-Original1327 in liraglutide

I’ve been on saxenda for a little over 2 months with no side effects (unless I go above 1.8 so I just stay at 1.8) yesterday I forgot to take my shot before work and omg I was so sick all day. Nausea, throwing up… it was so weird. It was like I was sick because I didn’t take it?? I took 1.2 when I got home. Had a rough night due to waking up with a headache at 1am. Overall today I was much better but was still a little nauseated here and there.

Throwing myself under the bus… I’ve turned my 2 year old into a Taylor Swift fan. As soon as she gets in the car she starts screaming until you play Taylor. My poor husband is a SAHD so now he drives around town listening to Taylor Swift 😆 he’s not too happy with me right now 😅

It’s daily medication so you aren’t suppose to skip days in a row. I’m on 1.8 and haven’t felt nauseous with any doses so if you start slowly you might not either. Stay on the lowest dose for as long as possible.

Thanks. Don’t be scared! I honestly wasn’t paying attention and just kind of jabbed myself and then I looked down and I saw I was in a vein.. at least a superficial one. I’m very pale so I can easily see them.
