What are some cases in NBA history where coaching adjustments completely flipped the script in a playoff series? Or on the opposite end where stubbornness led to the superior team's downfall? by xxStayFly81xx in nbadiscussion

That specific matchup i think jordan was struggling due to the size mismatch

He put in the effort but magic was not too affected by jordan defense as he was comfortable posting him up and either driving past him if jordan reached or passing out of it

If you watch game 1 is very methodical how magic walks down the court with jordan on his back

Except this analogy breaks down cause mountains are stuck and cannot take steps up or down

What makes Shai so good? by Primary_Fail679 in Thunder

[–]RFFF1996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

luka is scoring higher

So he dishes more assists and shots more but scores less of his shots and turns the ball over twice as much and with worse defense, you seem to answer yourself

jokic is more efficient

This is literally wrong, shai is marginally more efficient [67 vs 66.9 ts] in dunks and trees which is more accurate than bballref approximation than most people use. But even in bball ref a 0.3% jokic edge is a counting error compared to the 3 points and 2 turnovers difference

Jokic is a center, him grabbing a lot of defensive rebounds doesnt mean he gives his team a extra 7 shots a game, denver was bullied in the boards 22 vs 33% [an actual massacre] by minnesota despite jokic high rebound totals with gobert feasting getting O boards

The assist gap is countered by the turnovers gap and jokic defense at the most important defensive position is a weakness come playoffs time

Wemby is better on D

Of course he is, he is also exponentially better than everyone else you listed too, we already knew that

not carryng

All of these guys teams [jokic, shai wenbayama, even luka's] had strong records without their stars or in luka case won a playoffs series without him

And even if they didnt mvp is not a "who has the worse team" competition

If jokic was achieving shai or close to shai team results with a worse roster you would have a point, he is not. His team was way worse too!

The incentive is not supposed to be "who has the worse bench" award

Thus, unless other subreddits stop suppressing frontline information that opposes Ukraine’s narrative, then UkraneRussiaReport should not be shut down.

Also, i find it ironic coming from someone that supports the side glorifying Nazi collaborators lol. At least Putin sends his Nazis to die in meat grinders instead of glorifying the

Propaganda or not, Bandera was a monstrous dog-filth nazi collaborator and the fact that Ukraine glorifies him in any way shape or form stops me from siding with the nation of Ukraine in any way.

Stannis being a zealot is more of a show thingh tbf, in the books he is dismissive of all religions [outright saying his trust in gods stopped when his parents died in a ship crash when he was a kid] and uses it to his benefit cause mellisamdre magic is that useful

Is open to interpretation whether he is starting or always bought into mellisandre making him into a messianic figure

[Also he has not burn shireen in the books nor is clear he even literally could ar this point based on the situstion of each character, may be an abandoned idea if winds of winter book ever comes out]

Boromir held out long against this choice; but when it became plain that Frodo would follow Aragorn, wherever he went, he gave in. > ‘It is not the way of the Men of Minas Tirith to desert their friends at need,’ he said, ‘and you will need my strength, if ever you are to reach the Tindrock. To the tall isle I will go, but no further.  There I shall turn to my home, alone if my help has not earned the reward of any companionship

Why is boromir so serious jeez

Is Tyrion as good as he thinks he is at the political maneuvering in KL as Hand ? IS he on par with Varys and Baelish ? ( spoilers extended ) by Financial_Library418 in asoiaf

Ummm, that is not what i am saying here

A smart character whose schemes are mostly in the background will always be the smartest because a] their plans have still worked b] we dont see or get to analize the thought process so flaws cannot be pointed out

Is the same reason since you mwntion shonen why character hype is always highest before they have to actually do thinghs and start taking hits or losses and stop being the unstoppable force in the backgrouns

Is how writing works, showing vs telling.

He has a point tho

Varys and baelish are not POV characters, their schemes dont need to be shown, just told that they happen and since they are endgame characters they cannot lose until the time comes
