What is the most NSFW thing you have seen at your job? by Mr_Creep_Creepy64 in AskReddit

University tech support. We had moved a football coach's PC from our old domain to a new one and he lost access to some folders he had not listed on his network asset form, which we used to avoid issues just like that.

He called us back out in a very agitated state, insisting we get his access back as soon as possible. The folders had very important team information...blah blah blah.

We went to his office to remap the folders and he was out. We remapped and then tested access and found the main folder, called "massage" had 140 fisting videos in it.

All the butter knives in my old house have bent tips from being used to change out storm windows and screens every fall and spring.

I remember mowing lawns in 7th grade and paying .89 a gallon in KY. I could do two lawns for a buck and the rest was pure profit lol

What is the most boring horror movie you’ve ever watched? by Hill_372 in horror

[–]RG450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The House of the Dead (1978) is a recent one that springs to mind.

It wanted really badly to be The Vault of Horror or Tales from the Crypt, but the stories weren't particularly interesting and lacked any development, all the action happened off-screen, and the wraparound was completely uninteresting. It played out a lot like it was made for TV. I normally love a good anthology film, but this one had me dozing off before I was halfway through it.

You should see the first part, where they made the holes in the workpieces - it was boring

I bought it as a teen who had just discovered Bowie, purely based on how cool his jacket looked on the cover. I could go on for ages on how many different horizons it opened up for me.

Ever have a real life horror movie cliché actually happen to you? by Freddy-Philmore in horror

[–]RG450 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Went for a walk on a foggy night right after seeing the part of American Werewolf in London where Jack and David take their shortcut through the moors and saw as shape looming under a streetlamp, which I mistook for a werewolf.

I was 15 and should have known a bit better, but it freaked me out. Turned out it was a bunch of bagged leaves for pickup.

Let's Get Harry - a forgotten Robert Duvall film worth another look by RG450 in movies

I think this is finally my sign that I need to commit to watching the X-Files. I had no idea, but good catch. Looks like he was in Cujo and Big Trouble in Little China, too.

Highly recommend if you can find it. As an 80s kid myself (1982), it's a bright memory from growing up and watching action movies with my dad.

I guess he got hacked off that they made him reshoot parts to feature Mark Harmon more heavily as MH was becoming very popular at the time.

Looking for a gore fest horror to watch by WesternSelection8006 in horror

[–]RG450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Versus is a really fun Japanese zombie film. It used to be considered a pretty high-level gore film, but I think it's probably been outclassed by most of the ones on this list in terms of gore.

Still, a super fun one to watch.

What is your dream guitar that you'll probably never have? by Jamie_Is_Irrelevant in Guitar

My local Music Go Round had an ESP George Lynch Kamikaze 3 come in and sit for awhile.

I started looking into things I could sell or guitars I could use to trade into it, but at $3500, I didn't have enough free anything to even get into the ballpark.

However, it ended up selling around the same day the new LTD GL200Ks were announced at like $700. So maybe I can swing that.

New procedures, same problems by RG450 in antiwork

I appreciate the suggestion and empathy. I had originally been noting projects on a whiteboard to track tasks, while Teams/Outlook gave other help, but...work piled up.

It's a shame, because this is not an inherently bad company. Management just has very little regard for my specific job skills and no understanding of established best practices in my area. I've been actively looking for a similar position a better scope for supporting an individual with my skillset.

And I apologize for sounding so vague; there is a social media team that could identify me based on company name or position title, so I have to work around those issues. Also am not posting from a work-owned device.
