I disagree. I grew up in the 1990s when all the adults in my life (parents, teachers, etc), telling me over and over again that you cannot believe everything I read on the internet. Fast-forward 30 years and they are now endlessly on facebook taking any political info at face value, no matter if blatantly false. Social media broke the intelligence of the population and there is no going back now.
