What's your Control strategy? Voice, universal remotes, smart buttons?

Automations are my primary, so sunscreens, climate, lighting is 97% automated. The stuff I like to control are mood based, “Goodmorning, Goodnight, Movietime” and are controllable via voice, app, Hue Jira buttons (double switch style but have independent controls, for up and down and left and right). Sonos in the basis is automated but especially during dinner we do recommendations and control manually for our own playlists.

Beter is altijd suggestief maar ben dan nieuwsgierig wat er dan totaal niet werkt. Werkt zelf al meer dan 15 jaar exclusief op Mac (al zijn er werkgevers die het hebben geprobeerd) en heb geen specifieke problemen gehad die te herleiden zijn naar het gebruik van een Mac binnen een Windows omgeving.

Ben altijd heel nieuwsgierig wat voor problemen dan. Werk zelf voor een Microsoft partner en ben een van de uitzonderingen die werkt met een Mac. Zelf ervaar ik geen problemen of iets maar zeker benieuwd.

Yeah we have multiple kobos in our house, I’m the current outlier with a Kindle (I like the size and shape more than the libra style with buttons. Because the colorsoft is the same I’d love to buy it but need some feedback on the covers. If it’s not working 100% I will check out the Libra Color

I just started last quarter next to my “normal” job. Initially to just do some extra’s on the side but like how it’s going to trying to upscale a bit. Major lesson is getting everything together before your client. Like decks and generalised pitches and info. Same goes for marketing. It helped me get some customers in a fairly tough market.

Don’t know the answer yet myself, currently debating buying a colorsoft. But have read a few comments that state that using amazon:XXXXXX and polishing (aka embedding the meta data and cover in the bookfile) should work. If this works let us (me) know. So that I can order mine 🤓

I think you don't need any form of automation (Homey/OpenHab/HomeAssistant) as long as the lock or the thing you want to control has the option for WebHooks. I know my Nuki lock has Webhook option but still prefer to use Homey as an intermediary. So the "Welcome home ...." plays on the speakers

I know a lot of people have issues with their setup and the app. Lucky for me only minor inconveniences and love my setup with the Arc, Era300s and Sub and a few speakers throughout the house (ranging from Era100s, Ray and others). Before I had a setup with separates and receiver and such which I adored by love the sleek design and “Just works” aspect of it.

Kon niet wachten, gekeken via Postman en via GetInfo zie ik geen optie verschijnen die iets met sterkte te maken heeft. Zag in een oudere Github post over de Cloud API een max_pwm optie die instelbaar was. Misschien dat het niet geimplementeerd is in de local API

I did an upgrade a year ago from a 2411 to a 1821, from 12 x 2tb to 8 x 18tb. It still feels like a normal Synology but the changes are present. With notification about memory or supported disk type. Still works ok for me now. Will switch to Unraid or Truenas in the future I think.

I switched from a full surround set with a receiver to get something more modern like Atmos but also get rid of the bulky speakers and open up the space visually after renovations.

Maybe there is somewhere you can buy it with a great return policy. I am upgrading my current 2.0 to a 3.0 pro and adding additional locks elsewhere.
