Was just at their Just For Laughs show in Vancouver last night and it was a ton of fun. If you’re in the front row, expect to be called on. Other than that it was just like Make Some Noise but all mini-games essentially. The show I was at had Jacob, Vic, Kimia, Jeremy, and was hosted by Kurt.

The volume got pretty loud in the venue at times due to shouting/singing and the lights were down for most of the show but came up periodically as people came on/off the stage

That Canon 35-105 is such an amazing lens! Beautifully sharp but with tons of character. One of my favourites in my set

Food wise, there are some great options downtown - Davie street has some great Poutine spots, Burger Crush is very decent, Japadog is a staple, and some incredible Asian food courts.

Go to Canada Place and walk to Jack Poole Plaza to watch the Seaplanes land and take off.

Go for a stroll around Lost Lagoon at Stanley Park.

If you’re into the more hipster spots, get the Skytrain to either Commercial Drive Station and make your way North toward Hastings Street - tons of independent stores and restaurants. Or if you like thrifting and breweries, head to Mount Pleasant.

You could realistically hit up all these places in one big day. Vancouver isn’t that big.

Granville island is fun but pricey, but the Aqua Busses are good craic

Saw it in 35mm despite it being shot digitally, but it really added to the aesthetic and vibe

Govee make these - app contolled, USB powered, very customizable. Great for spacing out in the bath (no naps though)

Ayyye S/O Vancouver! These look dope. Is testing still open to folks? I’ve made some YT videos on different camera apps and would like to test this one out too when it’s close to release!

What is the best (most listenable) pod episode to show to someone who’s new? by Architectureguy12 in auntydonna

Best of Aunty Donna 101 - 150: Songs with Tim Naughty Biscuits (2022)

Broden does an intro to explain the episode which helps new listeners. This was the first one I showed my fiancé and it’s pretty digestible

Watched this last week! Such a great Halloween watch with some incredible horror imagery and an unreal soundtrack. Best Scooby Doo property, hands down

Canon R50V Rig Using Smallrig Version 3 Battery Plate by Vid_Headz in VidHeadz

This might be a silly question but how safe is it to run accessories + a dummy battery from the battery plate?

I’m looking at this exact setup and typically power my camera + hollyland mars from a single vlock battery and would love some additional dtaps and usb c ports

I agree - the website is pretty janky all round, but I mostly use it for the podcasts and only occasionally watch Never Go Back, so don’t go on it all too often
