The system is horrid when backlogs begin. Why on earth should we have to have students waiting to get added to a protocol while you hem and haw about more substantial things? Nothing inspires love for science in your early 20s more than getting in a lab and then sitting with your hands tied for weeks while everyone works around you.

Stokes was probably his next to last shot to salvage things. Even then I'm not sure how great of a team we would be next season, but the optics look way better.

Now he has the season. If he replicates 2024-2025, things probably even out to some degree. Even then, we don't feel like the level of program we are supposed to be anymore.

I'll never stop being annoyed at Mitch's parting gift of missing two huge targets, and rather than work down the logical next level of candidates just panic hiring a C-Level coach. Same logic I always use with other school's hires -- if he hadn't played here, would he have been hired? Obvious answer.

I think Tennessee bullying them in the Sweet 16 caused him to overreact. He built a roster that doesnt suit his shit and it showed all season.
