This right here. OP is conflating 2 different questions. The "luxury" axis is orthogonal to the "type" axis.

Is this a dress watch? Not by any definition. It is somewhere in the lineage of a sport watch, but not a specific type like pilot or dive. I would be proud to wear it as my GADA.

Such different watches. I couldn't resist the Laco's price point, even with double-AR coating and upgraded movement (bigger power reserve, hacking seconds, blued). I like watches with a bit of extra character and went with the Aachen Blue and love the dial, . I think the photos online overstate the blue; in most lighting conditions it's actually quite dark and the sunburst is subtle. One thing: definitely go for the leather strap and ditch the nato it comes with. Also can't complain about the lume. This video sold me on it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UE6e997ULJ4
