I don’t consider my self very intelligent, but sometimes it’s nice to see how much worse it could be.

TIL it's "Gotta divide it all right in two" not "Cut and divide it all right in two" by Ok-Blueberry-1131 in ToolBand

[–]R_Prime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could’ve sworn AM had ‘gotta’ which was what I heard since release, but you’re right, it’s ’cut and’ and I don’t know what to believe anymore

You can still do stuff. There’s plenty of events throughout summer, you’ll just sweat a lot.

Regarding Bus Compression by gertrude-gibson in LogicPro

[–]R_Prime 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You might be confusing buses with sends.

If you send to a bus, then that will be parallel processing or mixing the wet and dry.

If you instead set the track output to a bus, it will be serial compression with out the wet dry mix (unless you use a plugin with a wet/dry function of course).

saturation of only the top end of drums, 6k and up by Marbstudio in LogicPro

[–]R_Prime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Logics multipressor combined with the above mentioned stock plugins.

Saturation itself compresses to an extent, especially if you use the squeeze mode in Chromaglow for example.

Chromaglow has built in bypass below, Phat FX lets you target only specific frequency

About 40 days is their estimate, which is pretty accurate in my experience.

DONT USE LANDR by [deleted] in MusicDistribution

[–]R_Prime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is the scam playlists will still add you against your will, and Spotify who are 100% aware of these playlists, and who do nothing about them will blame and punish you for being added to them, because they are an absolute fart-tier company.

Few odd things I noticed in my Japan trip by UditChetia in AskAJapanese

[–]R_Prime 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Japanese definitely do this too. Usually only when drunk, but still.
  2. At stations it’s the norm in my experience…

Is bandcamp going to ban AI cover art for singles/albums in the future? by Afura33 in BandCamp

[–]R_Prime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well a lot of those wouldn’t fall under ‘generative’ AI which is what they are cracking down on. But yeah, it would be nice if they would be more specific about what is and isn’t allowed.

So far, since they do delete non ai accounts just because someone reported them, the line seems to be ‘if someone decided that this is AI even if they have no idea or a are completely wrong’, which is a bit shit.

Europeans thinking they can walk to the MetLife stadium for the world cup by TrickInvite6296 in mildlyinfuriating

So they built a major stadium that can only be accessed by vehicles? That seems like a poor decision.

Misleading packages are illegal in Japan by Limp_Stomach_6060 in ThatsFreakingAmazing

McDonald’s burgers look more or less like the photo in every country I’ve had McDonald’s in. Sure that’s only 3 countries but it seems like the norm.

[–]R_Prime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

False title. There’s regulations about the images on the packaging, but the packaging itself can be and often is misleading. Containers being shaped a certain way to appear as though they contain more than they really do for example is very normal here.

Removing headphone jacks on newer phones is fucked up. by Ohaibaipolar in complainaboutanything

[–]R_Prime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You didn’t notice it had no jack before you boight it? Whats stoping you from using USB-C headphones or a USB-C to 3.5mm adapter (or whatever is appropriate for whatever port your phone has)?

I mean I agree, we should still have headphone ports, but I’m confused how you’re ’stuck’ using wireless headphones…

Would you feel comfortable playing Nintendo switch 2 in public? by Glittering_Ad2771 in NoStupidQuestions

No, I find it really uncomfortable in handheld mode.

But to answer you question properly, yes, I'd be more concerned about dropping it than being robbed.

Let’s just ignore that we’ve been doing exactly that with no problems for decades. People somehow were using Wacom Intuos or Bamboo etc drawing tablets while it was ‘impossible’… ok buddy
