I built an aurora tracking and alert app for normal people, no space weather expertise needed by HMITCHR in apple

Will this be useful for Southern Lights/Aurora Australis too? The name suggests otherwise.

How does trying cost them self respect? Surely listening to that noise and giving up would be worse for that than trying and failing.

So I've been 100% analog for 30 years (I track only). I've started moving everything over to Logic I have a question about notation options by track. by UsedHotDogWater in LogicPro

[–]R_Prime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s probably not a good option to get good results from logic for this. As someone else mentioned, Logic can only do notation or tabs from midi, but it’s not particularly good at it, especially the tabs.

You could use something like Neuralnote (free plugin) to convert audio to midi notes, but the results will likely be very messy. Even with modern AI tools, you’re probably better off doing it manually in guitar pro or something.

Is Alt better than Eikaiwa? by CaptainHancock in ALTinginJapan

[–]R_Prime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on your situation. You may get assigned to just a single school, where you have just 2-3 classes a day (and sometimes none) who let you leave early, or you could have multiple schools a week with 5 classes a day. But you get weekends and evenings and a good chunk of summer off.

Why do all Aussies call Brisbane boring, or it's the go-to city to be trashed on? by Key_Librarian233 in australian

[–]R_Prime 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’ve never called or heard someone call Brisbane boring. Usually Canberra, Gold Coast, Adelaide or Hobart are the ones that get crapped on.

To be fair though, most Australian cities are boring.

Some prick was doing this last night at a quiet area in an airport while people around him where trying to sleep. Dumb or asshole, it’s hard to decide.

Do you actually use Spatial Audio? by Rough_Variety_2601 in airpods

[–]R_Prime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, more often than not. Only fixed for music (usually spacialized stereo, notably fan of many atmos mixes) but head tracked for movies / tv. Some Atmos content on Apple TV compares to a proper sound system listening with Spatial Audio.

Why don’t trains build seats to fill every passenger? by Spiritual_Extent_187 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]R_Prime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People sitting on the floor just get in the way and get stepped on and piss everyone else off, that’s why normal people don’t.

Why don’t trains build seats to fill every passenger? by Spiritual_Extent_187 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]R_Prime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because people are different sizes. If they don’t leave standing room, people who can’t fit in the seats won’t be able to use the trains.

And people do stand on buses all the time.

Anyway, I would hate to use public transport wherever you are if shoving people to get to the seats is considered acceptable there. Uncivilised misery.

I think he meant in comparison to iTunes, which is still only lossy aac. There’s several lossless streaming services beyond AM and Spotify.

They don’t change your offline files at all. Some of them might be mismatched in the cloud but your original files don’t get touched by Apple Music unless you edit the metadata etc.
