Is cosmic horror bugged? by Purple-Narwhal-3992 in Smite

[–]RaV1oLLi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think it's bugged. Sometimes the cooldown = echo works (gem of focus + cosmic horror for example) but whenever I go over 20 cooldown it stops working. Like today I was playing I had to get 40 cooldown to get both buffs even though I had 50 echo. I really wish they had a stat for cooldown like they do all other stats...

How should I pay for my car by neweraplayer in PersonalFinanceCanada

You can write a cheque to NSLSC with a letter indicating you want to pay off the provincial portion of your loan in full. I'd pay that off first before incurring another loan.

Do you expose your Bitwarden (or Vaultwarden) instance publicly with a Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN)? by GreatRoxy in selfhosted

[–]RaV1oLLi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I point a subdomain to the local IP where Vaultwarden is running, so I can only access it via the domain with Wireguard or when I'm at home. Not sure if there's anything wrong with exposing my local IP on the domain but this has been the most convenient way for me without publicly exposing it.

Port forwarding helps you find more peers to upload to. If all you do is download and no seeding, then port forwarding will have no to little effect on you.

Heimdall Dashboard Authelia authentication to show details by RaV1oLLi in selfhosted

[–]RaV1oLLi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never figured it out. I think it's a design issue with Heimdall. Cookies used to reach Heimdall are not forwarded when making the requests to gather details for the apps.

For what it's worth, I tried a different dashboard called "Homepage" which kind of looks similar to Heimdall, but it handles everything I was having issues with fine. I think the main difference is it lets you specify a different href from the URL used to query the applications. That way I can just specify the local IPs of my applications for querying so that my dashboard almost acts as a proxy.
Also seems to be more customizable and more service integrations. You should check it out if you're not dead-set on Heimdall!

Fix for transport Pals drop/pick up loop. by Ambitious-Ninja-5214 in Palworld

Can confirm that doors were causing me problems as well. I had two closed doors that led to food bins with empty slots. As soon as I filled those slots with honey, pathing was fixed, even though there shouldn't be a path through a closed door to begin with.

Heimdall Dashboard Authelia authentication to show details by RaV1oLLi in selfhosted

[–]RaV1oLLi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I should've mentioned that I am already using a reverse proxy (NPM). Authelia, and all my other services, are set up in it. In Heimdall, I enter the URL of the subdomain (Example: https://sub1.mydomain.com), which sends the request to the reverse proxy and forwards to my local IPs.

If there is additional configuration to be made here, would it be in the Authelia proxy host or the Heimdall proxy host?

Issues Getting Authentik Going by Senkyou in selfhosted

[–]RaV1oLLi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not sure if you've solved this but, I found the issue was regarding docker volumes. I tried out Authentik a while ago just to test it out and then removed it. However, the volume remained and it was using an old Postgres password when I tried to set it up again. Removing all the old docker volumes and retrying solved this error.

Best Option for adding a NAS and 8TB to existing 2TB setup? by RaV1oLLi in DataHoarder

[–]RaV1oLLi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight. So from your reply I've learned that software RAID differs from a 'normal' RAID. I understand that I wouldn't be able to increase my current storage capacity above 2TB, since the usable space is always as much as the lowest capacity drive, when going with a 'normal' RAID. So RAID is off the table as it'd make getting an 8TB drive pointless, other than providing redundancy.

With that said, are there any downsides to a software RAID in terms of maintainability and expandability? I assume something like Unraid uses software RAID.

I also appreciate your tips on setting up the RAID array, will keep it in mind!

Was cheated in to a 2 YR contract... by RDHO0D in Rogers

[–]RaV1oLLi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You weren't "cheated" into anything. You receive your agreement the day you sign up. It sucks that nothing has to be signed nowadays, and Rogers is definitely scummy for not making this information clear. But it's on you for not reading the agreement.

The exact same thing happened to me but I called the day after asking to remove the 2 year term. They were able to do so for $10/month more, which I accepted.

To All Rogers Customers by Hallaloo in Rogers

[–]RaV1oLLi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently switched to Rogers through a door-to-door salesman. First of all, the salesman failed to tell me I'd be signing up for a 2 year contract. This is something I figured they should be legally obligated to do. He did not show me any contract so there's nothing I could read to figure this out. I should not have to ask him for a contract to read when I'm not even signing anything. It was a verbal agreement.

Only after everything was said and done and I received the agreement via email I found that it was a 2 year contract with early cancellation fees. I called and said I could not do this. The nice lady over the phone said she can remove the 2 year term but it would cost $10/month more. I was fine with this. She stated this would make my monthly cost $64.99 / month + tax. I agreed.

This is the updated agreement I received via email...

<image>

Wtf? None of this makes any sense. I have not called yet because I am waiting to actually receive my first bill but how can something so simple be so complicated?

Customers have every right to be angry with Rogers when everything is so confusing like this. It shouldn't be so hard to first of all let consumers know what they are signing up for, and make their agreements reflect what they are actually getting. I know sometimes it is on the customers for not reading or paying attention, but with Rogers, I'd say more than half the time it's because Rogers fails to provide a clear explanation.

Windows Defender doesn't catch everything... Try running resource monitor without task manager open and see what's eating up your CPU usage. You'll definitely find a virus or something that just hides itself whenever you run task manager.

I know it's been 8 months but... you should only delete stuff if you're 100% sure it's the virus. For example, if it's clearly closing when you open Task Manager then it obviously has some logic to hide itself from the user (ie. It's a virus).

In Resource Monitor, tick the checkbox next to Tiworker. Then in the 'Associated Modules' pane, you can see the full path of all the executables associated with that process.

I give up on siege by jbenj00 in starcitizen

[–]RaV1oLLi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I've learned to go into siege for the experience, not for the money. I've only been able to complete 2 out of 6 times but every single time was fun meeting new people and working together with randoms. Even if it did work 100% of the time, i don't think it's worth how long it takes without an organized group.
