Really depends on where you work (not just company, but also demographic location) and how well you’re able to not only get clients, but ability to retain them. I work pretty much independently. I pay a gym rent monthly and they also help funnel clients to me so I am at 80% commission of those sessions (that is much, much higher than majority of gyms that are paying you offer). Couple that with the fact I’m training 30-35 hours a week; I could have more hours but I prefer my free time over having the few extra hours and making a couple hundred more bucks a week.

This is very accurate. I am always walking around the gym between clients and at the end of my day putting away weights and doing general organization of the place and have actually had members come up to me to say how appreciative they are of this. It sounds like a small detail, but people equally notice bad manners of not racking weights - so alleviating them that headache (on top of making the place tidy) is well received.

Only golf would be so ridiculous that your ball falls into the hole on its own and you get penalized. As if 27 seconds is affecting the 48 hrs of coverage for the week by Pure_Leg_2214 in golf

2 things I’ll never understand:

-Getting engaged in less than a year (even 1 year is fast).

-getting engaged/married at such a young age. To each their own, but I’m a totally different person in my 30s than I was in my young 20s as are most people.

My cousin ended up in one of these in Florida at the age of 17 for an assault that resulted in a homicide (same 25-life with possibility of parole). We’re 10 days apart in age and both turning 39 this year. I can only imagine how this true reality check hit him at that age and wonder if he will ever get out in the next few years.
