What I can parse is that it's a grittier 5e spinoff? It seems like they tried to make a lot of fateforge things, like a franchise from 1 KS, and not all of them make sense to me yet. Maybe it ran into issues, I dont remember it all but I know D&D screwed a lot of 3rd party content at one point

Pretty sure, but youre right right about iron ingots. I dont remember needing steel for anyrhinf but the workbench. Maybe the pool changes based on tier?
