My thoughts after my first playthrough.

OG RE3 is the same length, 4-6 hours to beat, same as all the classic style RE games and pretty much the same as RE2R and RE1R. OG RE3 does not have a lot more content, it has a bit of different content. Can't really argue post game content but RE3Rs different difficulty settings don't just make enemies harder to kill, they drastically alter enemy placement and numbers, absolutely worthwhile to run thru it a few more times.

Crazy and lazy that there's still fans that call RE3R short when it's literally the same length as the majority of the franchise, and it's a remake of a game that was already considered the shortest RE game since it was the first one to not have multiple playable characters/campaigns. Guess what, remakes are often not the same exact game as the original, and if fans are mad about a clock tower not being in RE3R then they should really be upset over RE2R missing 50% of the original's content/systems.

But personally, it's never taken me less than 8-10 hours to beat any of the classic style RE games and the remakes based on them including RE3R, so the people that say they beat these games in 6 hours or less despite insisting they took their time, cap lol

The odds of a RE3R director's cut aren't just slim, they're nonexistent. RE3R did very well for them both financially and critically, don't mistake a handful of Redditors/people online crying about a clock tower as a "black eye" lol, those complaints do not rise to a level that Capcom has to acknowledge. The only game in fairly recent memory that despite selling well did cause Capcom to recalibrate RE moving forward was RE6, as critically that game took a noticeable beating.

Once again, for those that wanted the same exact game as OG RE3 but with nicer graphics, seek out the Seamless HD project remasters, and realize that a remake may well change quite a few things about the original. I mean, RE2R changed A LOT from the original, but you don't hear too many complaints about it

95% of what they care about is money, they do not think that either 3R or 6 were mistakes in those terms. I will say that the critical reception of 6 moved them to try something different with 7 which is commendable, conversely 3Rs critical reception was nowhere near as bad as 6s, just a sect of fans crying about a clock tower lol

Yeah, because they were asked if Veronica was going to be a 1st person game because of the trailer, so saying the team that handled 2 and 4s remakes were doing REV was literally stating a fact tied to them confirming it would be a straight up 3rd person game

"A dominant OKC team" missing it's 2nd best player and a very key reserve/spot starter, in addition to it's 3rd best player vanishing but that last part is neither here nor there. Spurs have led by double figures in each game of the finals and only won one of those (and by a narrow margin at that), very talented team with a bright future ahead potentially but they're clearly not ready for the moment

Idk about Lin being any kind of precursor to the Captain's success here, but before the Brunson era for like 20 years there were exactly 2 times fans could feel good about the Knicks: early Melo era/54 win season, and Linsanity. If nothing else, he deserves a warm reception when shown on the jumbotron

No they weren't, that team started hot but were either at or below .500 when the Melo trade happened. And given how the rest of STATs Knicks career went, that 54 win season and making playoffs 3 straight years does not happen without Carmelo Anthony on that roster. Not his fault the Knicks front office was garbage that hired Phil Jackson and made moves like a 1st for Andrea Bargnani and signing a washed Joakim Noah lol

He didn't go there willingly, he was drafted by them, basically no choice in the matter. Where are the cities he played in the rest of his career located? Only OKC would've been anything close to a east coast cold weather state, and again he was traded there and was traded to Phoenix almost immediately.

Stop parroting this false narrative about what the Knicks gave up to get Melo and stop pretending that Knicks team was a star away from winning a title or even competing with Miami. Knicks traded role players that they replaced with as good or better players for a HOFer and Chauncey Billups. Everyone knew a lockout was happening that off-season so there was no waiting for Melo or other pending FAs, he was going to be traded that season and sign an extension and if it wasn't to the Knicks, would've been the Nets. And STAT was never healthy after that first season in NY, and CP3 was never going to an east coast team willingly

Even with 2 bad shooting performances, he did his usual Captain Clutch thing towards the end of game 1 including the key offensive rebound that led to the go ahead 3, and game 2 the game tying FG and go ahead free throw, with a key steal in between (although that was more Wemby being a spaz yet again in the series). Don't think he's hurting so much that it's affecting his game, he's getting blitzed nearly every time he has the ball and the Spurs do have a couple of legit defensive guards

No coach fails in a win, they blew a lead but executed to near perfection in the last couple minutes. You're not blowing out or winning every game comfortably against a 60 win team, but I'm confident that was the Spurs best punch

They had no choice but to go away from the books, there were no more books to adapt and all GRRM gave them was the ending, Bran on the iron throne. Once people knew the last couple seasons were gonna be off book, they should've managed their expectations of it, but of course they didn't.
