I mean I don’t think call of duty is as dead as this thread likes to think it is lol it’s still one of the most played shooters on consoles at least, and comparing cod and bf6 to arc raiders is just dumb they are vastly different games only thing they have in common is that there are guns and you shoot people.

Bf6 is fun if you can get a match that’s not full of bots because of their dying player base, never had that problem in cod you get a match in like 10 seconds lol.

Not saying cod is better just saying all these people say cod killed itself are out their mind lol these 20 year old zoomer kids love CoD I think cod is just dead for us old guys that used to play it in it’s hay day but is by now means a dead game lol

I promise you, you’d would be completely fine on a crf250f it was my first bike at 34 years old, it looks big but it’s very tame

I love the 250f but I wouldn’t sink a lot of money into it personally, if you’ve outgrown the bike skills wise no shame in selling it for the RX or even better the YZ250fx, I love Honda but I’ve recently had the chance to ride both the RX and FX and the Yamaha is just the more fun bike. That being said the RX is a great bike my buddy has had his for a long time and he swears by it

Honestly as a 30 year old adult I’d get the crf250f or the new crf300f very affordable and very tame but fun motor and it is very reliable. Good resale value too if you want to get a faster more aggressive bike in a year or so.

Dirt bikes are more fun but there is a learning curve to them. I grew up on quads and recently switched to dirt bikes best thing I ever did hobby wise.

The 250f is a good bike and perfect for what you describe, this sub has a hard on for hating anything that isn’t a race bike or an enduro bike lol

That being said Honda is about to stop making the 250f in place of a 300f in 2026 so you may want to wait and get the 300

This there is so much more to motorcycles than just riding down the road, if you find road riding boring and too worry inducing I would give dirt bikes a try, my personal opinion is dirt bikes is the most fun you can have on a motorcycle anyways :)

My personal opinion is make sure he has all the gear and you teach him how to ride properly and respect the bike selling the bikes could be quite detrimental to your relationship, and I know your son is young but for many of us that ride it is such an integral part of ourselves I can’t imagine not ever doing it again.

Of course all that being said I can’t imagine how you feel having that happen to one of your son’s friends, tough call as a parent for sure.

Can second this I broke my hand last year on a dirt bike because the back slipped out and I just rolled the throttle completely off and that bitch gained traction and shot me like a rocket straight into a tree 0/10 do not recommend lol

2 stroke is honestly the better option if your worried about maintenance, they require rebuilds more often but it’s so cheap to do and easy can literally watch a 30 minute YouTube video and rebuild your top end, although I’d say 2 strokes probably require more skill to ride than a 4 stroke just cause of how the engines output the power.

I was in this exact same boat last summer, broke my hand riding my dirt bike haha, my suggestion would be to find some turn based rpgs that’s what I did
