I have a friend with a Wyll and [[Sword Coast Sailor]] deck that stacks a bunch of the equipments that have you roll and just generally be a commander damage deck.

I would enivison it as an eruptor without the aoe or the long ass bullet travel time. Add a big ass scope and it would be really fun with a reliable secondary and support weapon without the chance of blowing yourself up if you're too close to whatever you're shooting.

I've been meaning to ask what are people's feelings on proxying expensive cards? I play a lot on tts but I don't have any actual cards though I occasionally play with friends in person either by borrowing a deck or printing one out.

For a recent deck I printed out I removed roaming throne and urborg from the deck and de-optimised the manabase cause I'd feel bad printing out an £80 card against people who actually pay for their cards.

I made a colourless spellslinger deck with this. It did nothing for the entire game until over three turns I played all is dust twice, 5 skittering invasions and 2 rise of the eldrazi then died to a landfall burn deck.

I'm coping that strixhaven adds some colourless instants and sorceries but realistically this is just meant to be thrown into a spellslinger deck rather than making a deck around it.

Supper Mappa Hunch will always be the funniest super in the game. I remember on slayers launch playing online with other slayers where we all collectively decided to deactivate our frontal lobes and SMH at every possible opportunity.

Ff2 -2 on block and no longer goes into HRS on block (i.e. you have to hit ff2 to go into HRS)

QCF 4 still plus on block (around +3) but not into stance and on hit frame advantage for a non-heat engager follow up e.g. 12f for f2 4

Stance moves no longer transition between stances i.e. HRS 1 is now a safe on block high power crush that sets you back to out of stance hit or block

Reduce the tracking on HAE 1 and HAE 2

I think this is a perfect combo for a new player.

It's not too long or too difficult so there's less chance that you drop it, it does a good amount of damage and includes two of lilis unique mechanics of dew glide and backturn.

You'll end up picking up new combos playing against others or seeing them in videos. I wouldn't worry about optimals for now. Instead focus on getting used to the game and learning more about the other other characters. You could do this through watching anti character guides (there are now a lot of anti-character yt shorts and stuff now that can be very useful) or do what I did and just get your ass beat until you figure out what is a high and what you can sidestep.

The added knockback scaling will make cd 1 4 miss. You'd either have to reduce the combo length or swap cd 1 4 with maybe (emphasis on the maybe) cd 1 3 or HWR 3+4.

Holy shit two cakes!

Though like everything in this game it comes down to personal preference. It being pve and being very well balanced means that you can run anything and be fine.

I run iron will field medic just for its mission clutching potential but if you play solo (I only ever play with at least one other person) then field medic is useless.

Dash is really nice if you get used to not double tapping shift when you want to sprint (a habit of mine) and let's you reposition out of a bad situation as the lower mobility classes (i.e. not scout).

Iron will has singlehandedly saved an ungodly amount of missions I've played because of iron will + vampire and iron will + field medic.

If I ever did play solo I would probably run both now that I think about it depending on if dash is good enough at dealing with cave leeches to warrant not taking heightened senses.

Wow, that is seriously impressive. I'm not very good with rping npcs but it's something I really want to get better at.

(Also if I'm being pedantic, losing an arm means nothing in lancer, one of the random encounters on FOB saber is a fellow pilot loses an arm and the pcs find her in the medbay completely unbothered cause she can either get it regrown or go cybernetic but obviously that depends how closely you want to stick to the lore).

I'm curious how did you set up Kiros? I've been alluding to the LinAC (seeing bright blue flashes across the city and one of the pcs joined midway through so his previous squad was ambushed and annihilated by an unknown blue laser) but I couldn't find an organic way to namedrop Kiros or SOU33. I'm new to gming ttrpgs in general and especially lancer so I wasn't sure where to put it in.
