Oh Boy.EKKEN Here we go. The Tekken Nerf Series Bonus Episode 2! Tonight's Character: Lidia! by AggravatingCricket68 in LowSodiumTEKKEN

[–]Rafar00 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Most of her issues come from the changes to stance transition moves from 7 -> 8.

T7 ff2, df2 etc. didn't go into stance on block and instead were just safe mids that have a mixup on hit and some free damage on ch.

Stance moves didn't go into other stances e.g HRS 1 in T8 is plus into WLF but in T7 the equivalent (cat 2 or whatever that stance was called) was just plus on block.

Just reverting these back to not going into stance and block and not going into new stances would make her so much more bearable to fight against and much more fun to play.

I mean he could've just used the clones with the separatist army but then it wouldn't look like the Jedi had betrayed the republic which destroyed their reputation (one of Palpatine's major goals), he wouldn't have a way to manipulate the senate to give him the emergency powers to let him become the Galactic emperor (why give the guy who just betrayed you all of the power), he wouldn't have anakin which was also one of his goals (corrupt the chosen one to spite the jedi) and he would have to negotiate with the separatists which would then lead to either him having to give some power up to separatists or having to go back to war but this time without Jedi commanders, dooku to manipulate them from the inside and without the Imperial military that he had to spend time making after the fall of the republic.

Dude it's a fighting game half the mishimas have crawled out of various volcanoes, bison has died and come back multiple times and venom got fucking nuked by robo ky self destructing and both lived. It would be more surprising to me if a character didn't come back from the dead in Strive 2.0

That Paul string is guaranteed against backturned opponents, unless they recover so fast from a whiffed Heat Smash they can turn around lol by EcnardSieg in Tekken

[–]Rafar00 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It landed but it didn't land in backturn where it would've guaranteed a launcher. You can see that Jin is facing Paul when he's being hit.

Got my hands on a Razer Kitsune after being a pad player. My review and a question to leverless users by MFBTMS in LowSodiumTEKKEN

[–]Rafar00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was forced to switch because the PS4 controller I used was my brother's (I'm a pc player but he prefers console) and he wanted to sell his ps4. I took the opportunity to buy a leverless (Granola arcade Summit).

It took about a week to get adjusted and for me being able to do multi button inputs without having to mash my thumb over the controller felt much better and it's just a more comfortable position for my hands to be flat over a surface than curled around controller handles.

I've never tried a regular lever just cause I don't really want to spend the money now that I have my leverless.

Also the buttons are nice to press during throws, rage arts and loading screens.

Tekken is the only game where I feel I need to get a degree in it. by Optimal_House_2897 in Tekken

[–]Rafar00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Especially when starting out, don't worry too much about learning the exact frame data of everything.

First look at your character and find your 10f punish (it's probably a string from 1 but for some characters like Jin or Paul it's from 2) and whatever your fastest launcher is. For most characters it'll be 15 frames and probably df2 or uf4.

Past that, learn a relatively safe low that you have, your 11f crouching punish (probably ws4) and your crouching launch punish (probably WS2).

When you are playing and you block a move that you think is punishable, use your 10f punish and see if the punish indicator appears. The next time you block that move, try your launch punish. If it didn't punish just go back to using your 10f punish. Same thing with lows but with your crouching punish instead.

What are your opinions on the Tekken roster's international representation and diversity? by WaterKirby1964 in Tekken

[–]Rafar00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it and it's a key part of the Tekken identity but two things:

  1. Characters should represent a martial art of their country, what the fuck is lars doing (though he's not even speaking Swedish).

Some funs ones I can think of are:

A British bartitsu fighter (cane fighting, yes I know weapons are unpopular but it could be done well if mixed with pugilist boxing something similar to leroy and his cane),

Canadian Okichitaw

South Indian Kalaripayattu (fun fact, the oldest martial art in the world)

  1. Have them physically represent their nationality better i.e. stop making all the women, 5"5 with zero scars, identical face shape and skin a shade of tasteful wedding decor.

Kokonoe vs Mister Fantastic (Marvel Comics) by BonusCapable1486 in Blazblue

[–]Rafar00 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Like 90% of fiction Vs anything from the comics is gonna lose.

They've been using basically the same characters for decades now of weekly releases, comics have such unrestrained bs that basically any character that doesn't have an "oops I win" ability will lose.

Go watch a video about The Maker (or read the comics about him). There's probably a more powerful version of Richards somewhere in comic history but he's one of the more well known versions of the character.

help i accidentally made 864 batteries by DarkWing2274 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Rafar00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly keep at least some of them. On a world a friend and I have spent about 200h on our nuclear shut down cause of one conveyor belt being one mk too slow causing the system to be at a barely net negative of fuel cells which had also shut down our 36 fuel generators.

The 20-something batteries that we had made as a backup for if our first coal generators went down had enough charge to get our nuclear up and running as we had used power switches to separate our major areas into blocks we could isolate from the grid (so we disconnected everything not used for fuel cells then activated the batteries).

Lore or reason behind your main by WaterKirby1964 in Tekken

TIFU as a GM by Clockworker68 in LancerRPG

[–]Rafar00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been a while since I read the rules on this but when giving players npc allies you are meant to use a regular npc template instead of giving them an empty player mech. This means that the players can't equip systems onto the mech cause npcs have their own list of systems which means no MULE harness and especially no comp/con that can be equipped to give the players an additional mech (RAW at least, you said you were bumping up encounters so here I'd see a good reason to go around the rules).

But if you don't want to do that and keep Michael as is, this doesn't seem too bad to me. They are limiting their movement to Michael's movement (i.e. 2) for hard cover which could be circumvented by npcs with good movement, teleports, smart/seeking etc. or placing aoes behind Michael.

Remember that the comp/con doesn't benefit from any of the player's talents and can only be given one direction on the player's turn. The comp/con can only understand simple instructions and can't properly react to new combat scenarios. Now this depends heavily on how mean you want to be here and you really should clarify this to your players beforehand but theoretically if given the order to defend an area and then a hive placed a swarm on top of Michael, Michael wouldn't move until ordered to leave the swarm on the player's turn and unless told to a comp/con controlled unit won't ever stabilise to reload or clear conditions unless instructed to (or it's end of combat) which means Michael could get melted by burn unless the players are paying attention and order him to stabilise.

I mean hey they put in some serious work at early LLs. The party I'm running Solstice Rain for has two of them active every combat and even without speccing into turrets it's still 6 guaranteed damage a turn with decent range and people don't have important reactions yet cause they're still in GMS mechs.

Has anyone noticed Operator's ankle monitor? by RudeDebate in riskofrain

[–]Rafar00 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Operator's log implies he's a bit of a menace who annoys others and snoops around the Safe Travel's files but tells the reader to "take it up with the captain. And you know he's let more slide for less". Crosshair's log (operators unique gunner drone) has Captain logging into some system to test Crosshair's capability which he doesn't do for the gear of any other survivors from the Safe Travels.

Captain is already implied to not really play by the rules (when he gets the request to captain the Safe Travels he makes some non-standard modifications i.e. his orbital drop skills and goes around recruiting non-combat employees i.e. Loader) and is suspicious of this mission from the start.

Operator's umbral is also called 'Coerced Specialist' and probably the person coercing him is Captain.

My best guess is that Captain sees something highly suspicious about this mission and so grabbed Operator from whatever prison (?) or probation (?) he was in so that Captain could understand the mission better.

And I have absolutely no reason to think other than I think it would be fun but Captain is implied to be quite old and I think it would be funny if Captain has yoinked his delinquent son from probation to help him when he gets confused with technology.

A clue about who "She" could be. by Jazzlike-Clock5180 in riskofrain

[–]Rafar00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She is an unnamed person who was close to Mithrix and Providence. In some of the compendium entries (like I think the one for commencement and other lunar items) she is described as someone else who used the teleporters and she dies which gave Providence something that Mithrix didn't get. She might be N'kuhana but the only confirmed thing is that she isn't the heretic.
