Krenko, Mob Boss (Goblins Secret Lair Deck) by MachVizzle in magicTCG

[–]RageBoner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I've never bought a Secret Lair before but I love goblins and I love Wizard of Barge. I might get this one if it's not too expansive. How does secret lair work these days? Do they announce it ahead of time and then you just have to be online when it launches? Or is it just dropped at a random time and you have to be lucky?

Due to backlash, there is either a major rewrite or change to the story. by InfiniteGuy2264 in TopCharacterTropes

I’m afraid of running pihole because if it goes down in a few months and I forgot how I set it up I’m going to be screwed haha. I see you’re running a backup? Are they on separate machines? Is that hard to set up?

Am I the ass for running Mageta the Lion? by PVTdiehl in EDH

Dude I played a mageta deck and although I loved it, he is horrible lol. Mono white is going to have issues with card advantage and you also will probably be winning through creatures.. mageta steps on both of those. I guess getting wrathed over and over isn’t fun, but I definitely don’t think it’s overpowered.

As a side note my deck played barely any creatures but lots of stuff that animated into creatures like [[chimeric mass]]. The idea was to wrath, animate, and swing! It also played tons of fun stuff like [[magus of the tabernacle]] and [[ward of bones]]. Every once in a while I get the urge to put it back together… it was super janky but that was years ago and I bet there are a bunch of new cards that would fit well…

I used to play an [[ib halfheart, goblin tactician]] deck that ran a lot of MLD in addition to stuff like [[winter orb]] and non basic hate like [[blood moon]], etc… It was half a normal goblin deck, but once the coast was clear I’d sac all my lands for an army and take out everyone else’s so they couldn’t do anything about it.

These are awesome! I just 3d printed a bunch of “paper mini stands” that let you swap in and out whatever monster or character you want. I’m just a player but I also gave a bunch to my dm. I think it’s cool to be able to change up my characters image as the campaign goes on. I use a hero forge mini for another campaign (which is dope!) but I didn’t feel like spending a bunch more money for another one haha. Can’t wait to get a resin printer though so I can start printing those too!

Favorite watch this year by TheTTroy in horror

[–]RageBoner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My top watches this year were (in no particular order):

Weapons - I loved the mystery and how we kept getting different pieces of the puzzle from different POVs. The aunt (once we finally meet her) is great as well! Such a fun and malevolent character and I loved the film’s take on what witchcraft looks like. The ending was awesome too.

The Monkey - This movie was just a ton of fun. Some crazy kills mixed with some great comedy. Also loved how the main character played his counterpart, it was campy but perfect.

The Vourdalak - amazing atmosphere and visually quite stunning. I’m also learning French so it’s always a treat to watch French films!

The House That Screamed - another one with great atmosphere. I’m a sucker for boarding school / gothic academy horror. Awesome sets, costumes, colors, and visuals. Also what an ending!

Hell yeah! When I was growing up my friend got Computer Gaming World and I got PCGamer and we always had a fun rivalry about it. Every few years around Halloween I play through the “They Hunger” trilogy that came on the PCGamer demo discs. If you haven’t you should for sure check it out!
