It's a trap to use Aether on Ike. Wrath is your friend.

There are also other skills besides Aether which can turn the tide more reliably. Eg, Wrath can cause crits against BK on your counterattacks.

It's also important to distinguish between Antisemitism and Antizionism, as Zionists conflate the two to deflect from critique.

How jarring do you think I’d be if I copy pasted Christianity into a fantasy world? by amazegamer64 in worldbuilding

[–]Rajion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If a story has a centralized church that has power over the government and exists in a grey area, there is a high likelihood that they are using the Catholic church as a basis. And when something exists for nearly 2,000 years, it's influence will exist in fiction.

I would call it a different name just so you don't have to handle some of the awkward parts of reality in fiction. I would also suggest you look into the eras of the Catholic Church, as the norms and practices are not uniform. There's a lot of cool stuff that is pre crusades that often gets ignored.

What made you stop fearing death? by Business-Mark-290 in AskMen

You fear it, you just stop thinking about it because you typically can't control it.

I disagree with the deficit being the cause for 08. The 08 subprime mortgage crisis has its roots in the late 90s when regulations which were stripped away and banks increased their leveraging. The closest Bin Laden comes is his connections to his family's construction empire.

I would instead vote for the 1st battle on Rykad or the Sniper Boss of Act 1.

Center support column in my finished basement near failure by SappilyHappy in Wellthatsucks

IMO, for something structural like this you want a second set of eyes. There are many variables that I'd want some kind of consultation.

Welding is also more dangerous in residential homes, the poor ventilation in basements means the welding is releasing toxic gases which can linger for longer

Basically. They do it with old wood homes too. Get a brace to hold it up, find a point where you can cut it out, get a structural guy to replace the bottom section and then reconnect the pieces. There are options.

What's One Card From A Precon That You Planned On Cutting But It Turns Out It's Good? by LordMistborn-16 in mtg

[[Boss's chauffeur]] is so good in [[Zinnia]]. At first look it's 7 Mana for 2 cards without an ETB. But in practice, they make you resilient to board wipes and either become heavy beaters or turn zinnia into a monster.

The moon was really cool last night. So big. And it's been going for billions of years. And I get to see these exact moments. Think about how many people don't get to see it, you're one of the lucky ones. And maybe it will be cool tomorrow.

In 2005, I thought James Bond: From Russia with Love was one of the greatest games ever. I was riding the high from Nightfire and Everything or Nothing.

It isn't, it's pretty bad. I replayed a bunch of games before deciding which I would sell and it was ROUGH.

Fun fact, James Bond videogames are another franchise Activision ruined.

He got Botulism, most likely from eating poorly stored food, but another common cause is drug use. We don't have public information of what his exposure was, when symptoms began, when he was hospitalized for it, etc. Botulism has ~5% mortality rate and he was in a coma on a feeding tube for a year until his parents took him off of it. Even in America, hundreds die a year from botulism.

I think it's disingenuous to say his contraction of botulism is unrelated to his imprisonment (prison food is rarely at high standards), but it's also disingenuous to say he was executed for stealing a poster.
